You know, that 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250, that’s a name I heard a lot. Young folks, always talking about speed, speed, speed. This old lady don’t know much about it, but I hear things. They say it’s a fast one, that Ninja. Like a little bee, buzzing around. Got two wheels, and a whole lot of go.

I seen pictures, yeah. It’s all shiny and new-looking, even though it’s from 2008. They don’t make ’em like they used to, but this one, it seems alright. They call it a “sport bike.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Just a motorcycle to me. But I guess if you’re young and like to go fast, this is the kind of thing you want. It is a good-lookin’ bike though, I’ll give it that.
They say this Kawasaki Ninja 250 top speed is something else. Now, I don’t know about all these numbers they throw around. But I hear folks saying it can go real fast. Some say almost 100 miles, per hour that is. Lord have mercy! That’s faster than anything I ever seen on these roads. Back in my day, we didn’t have nothing like that. I wouldn’t be caught dead riding at that speed!
Someone told me they had it going 97.56 mph on the road. That is just wild, what are these youngsters thinking? I worry for them sometimes. But I guess as long as they’re careful, it is none of my business. They say the old models were even faster, ’cause they were lighter. That is just something isn’t it? How things change.
- It’s a motorcycle.
- It’s called a Ninja.
- It goes fast, really fast.
- It’s from 2008.
- It’s a sport bike.
This Ninja, it’s got all sorts of things. A “fuel gauge,” they call it. Shows you how much gas you got left. That’s handy, I suppose. Don’t want to run out of gas in the middle of nowhere. Especially when you’re going that fast. And it’s got this thing, a “muffler,” that’s all kicked up. Looks kinda funny to me, but the young folks seem to like it. All these things are so new and modern to me. What do I know?
They say it’s good for the city, and for twisty roads. Well, that makes sense. You gotta be able to handle those curves if you’re going that fast. It’s light, they say. Easy to ride. Maybe even this old lady could handle it. But I wouldn’t want to. I’ll stick to my two feet, thank you very much. I don’t need to go that fast. I got nowhere to be that quick.

This 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250, it’s been around for a while. Since 1986, someone told me. That’s a long time. They keep making them, so I guess people like them. This 2008 one, it’s the 13th one they made. Lucky number 13, maybe? Or maybe not. Depends on how you look at it, I reckon. Thirteen is a lot of years, that is for sure. How many miles has this bike seen?
They say this Ninja 250, it’s the “genuine article.” Whatever that means. It’s the real deal, I guess. Not some fake thing. It’s a real motorcycle, that’s for sure. And it’s got a “full-fairing.” Sounds important. Like a dress, maybe? Covers the whole thing up. Makes it look sleek, I suppose. Like a bullet, maybe. Ready to shoot off down the road. It sure does look the part of a fast bike.
This thing, this Kawasaki Ninja 250 top speed, it’s got an “engine character.” Like it’s got a personality. Funny way to talk about a machine. But I guess it’s got its own way of doing things. Its own way of going fast. They say you can “fully exploit” it. Sounds a little harsh, don’t it? Like you’re taking advantage of it. But I guess that’s what you do with a fast bike. You push it to its limits. It’s almost 250CC, that is a big engine for a motorcycle, at least that’s what they tell me.
Back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. We had our cars, and they got us where we needed to go. We didn’t need to go 100 miles per hour. We had time. These young folks, they’re always in a hurry. Always rushing around. This Ninja, it’s perfect for them, I suppose. Gets them where they’re going fast. Too fast, if you ask me. I prefer a slow ride, enjoy the view.
This 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250, it’s a popular bike. I heard that from a lot of people now. It’s a good bike for someone who wants to go fast. Not for me, no sir. But for the young folks, yeah. It’s a good bike. Maybe a little too good. Maybe they should slow down a little. Enjoy the ride. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady. I don’t know nothing about these fast bikes. But I hear things. And I see things. And this Ninja, it’s something else. That’s for sure.
