And she can stop real good, too. From 97 to 0, the ABS, which must be somethin’ fancy, takes her about 38.0 to 41.1 meters. I don’t know much about meters, but that sounds pretty quick to stop to me. Gotta be careful though, going that fast.
But, you know, there’s always a “but.” This here bike, she’s hard to maintain. Like, real hard. Not like my Bessie, just give her some hay, and she’s good. This Ninja, she needs special care. And them Kawasaki places, they ain’t on every corner like a chicken coop. You gotta go lookin’ for ’em.

But, some folks, they love this bike. I heard of one fella, rode his Ninja 300 for 95,000 kms! Mostly on the highway, he said. Said she was smooth. Like butter, I reckon. I don’t know, I never rode a motorcycle. I just had my Bessie, and she weren’t that smooth, bless her heart.
Now, when you’re lookin’ at one of these bikes, they say you gotta check the brake fluid. That’s the stuff that makes her stop. If it’s dark, that means there’s water in it. And water, when it gets hot, it turns into steam, and that ain’t good for stoppin’. You want that brake fluid to be nice and clean, not dark.
So, is this Kawasaki Ninja 300 worth buying? Well, that depends. If you got the money for gas, and you know a good place to get her fixed, and you like going real fast, then maybe. But if you’re like me, and you just need somethin’ to get you to the market and back, maybe stick to a good old mule. Or maybe a bicycle. They don’t go as fast, but they don’t drink as much gas, either.
This Ninja 300, she’s got a nice look, they say. Minimalist design, whatever that means. Sounds fancy. Probably looks real pretty, all shiny and new. But remember, pretty don’t mean she’s easy to live with.

But Bessie, she never needed no special brake fluid. Just a good rub down and a kind word. Maybe that’s all any of us really need, in the end.
