So, I finally got around to watching “Father of the Bride Part 3 (ish)” with Florence Pugh. I’d heard a little buzz about it online, and since I’m a big fan of the original movies (and Florence, obviously), I figured I’d give it a shot. It wasn’t easy to find a good stream, but after some digging, I managed to get it playing on my laptop.

First off, it’s not a full movie, more like a short film. They call it “Part 3 (ish)” because it’s a sort of reunion special made during the pandemic to raise money for charity, which is pretty cool. I settled in on the couch, grabbed a blanket, and hit play.
Getting Started
The nostalgia hit me right away. Seeing Steve Martin, Diane Keaton, and the rest of the gang back together was awesome. They were all on a video call, just like how we all were living at the time. It felt very 2020, you know? I was smiling from ear to ear, just seeing them all interact again.
The Story Unfolds
The story revolves around Matty’s wedding. He’s all grown up and getting married over Zoom. Typical, right? George Banks, being George Banks, is freaking out about the whole thing. It was hilarious watching him try to control everything, even in a virtual setting. I was laughing out loud at some of his antics. Steve Martin hasn’t lost his touch!
And then, Florence Pugh shows up! She plays Megan, the baby from “Father of the Bride Part II,” all grown up and a successful businesswoman. She’s only in it for a little bit, but she’s great, as always. I was really excited to see her in this role, and she nailed it, even in such a short appearance. I found myself wishing she had more screen time.
Wrapping Up
- Enjoyable: Definitely a fun watch, especially if you’re a fan of the originals.
- Short and Sweet: It’s only about 26 minutes long, so it’s a quick watch.
- Charitable: Knowing it was made to raise money for a good cause made it even better.
I finished watching it with a big smile on my face. It was like catching up with old friends. I even went back and watched a few clips again, just for fun. If you’re looking for a little dose of nostalgia and some laughs, I definitely recommend checking it out. It’s a nice little treat, especially for fans of the Banks family. I’m really glad I took the time to watch it.
