Alright, guys, so I wanted to figure out this whole campfire thing on the Fortnite map. I’d seen people talking about them, healing up near them, and I was like, “Okay, I gotta get in on this.” So, I started by, you know, just playing the game like normal. Dropping in, looting up, the usual.

Finding My First Campfire
Honestly, it took a few matches. I wasn’t actively hunting for them at first, just keeping an eye out. Then, bam! I spotted one near some trees, a little ways off from a named location. It was just sitting there, unlit, looking all… well, like a pile of sticks.
I cautiously approached it, because, you know, enemies could be anywhere. I pulled out my building materials, thinking maybe I needed to, like, build a fire? Turns out, nope. Just get close enough and a little prompt pops up.
Lighting It Up (and Getting Toasty)
The prompt said something like “Interact” and there was a little campfire icon. Simple enough, right? I hit the button and whoosh – fire! It sparked to life and I could see my health start to tick upwards. Pretty cool!
- Step 1: Find a campfire. They’re usually in outdoorsy areas, near trees or campsites.
- Step 2: Get close! Close enough for the interaction prompt.
- Step 3: Press the interact button (it’ll tell you which one on your screen).
- Step4:Enjoy the campfire.
Things I Noticed
It wasn’t super fast healing, but it was steady. Definitely better than nothing, especially if you’re low on bandages or medkits. I also noticed that it healed me and my teammates, if they were close enough. Team player, this campfire!
And, the best part? You can keep re-lighting it! I mean, there’s a cooldown, of course. You can’t just spam it forever. But after a little while, you can light it up again and get another health boost. Super handy for those long games, or when you’re stuck outside the circle and taking storm damage.

I played many matches after that,I started actively looking for them, and it made a big difference, especially when I was in a pinch. You can try it too!
