Okay, so today I messed around with creating something called “mr red cincinnati”. Honestly, I didn’t even know what it was, my friend just told me to do it. It start with no idea.
First, I googled “mr red cincinnati”.Turns out, it’s related to the Cincinnati Reds baseball team. I saw a bunch of images of this mascot-looking guy, a baseball with a big mustache and an old-timey hat.I figured, okay, I’m going to try to draw this thing.
I grabbed my ipad and opened Procreate, I use my ipad to draw most of the things. Started with a big, round circle for the head, because, you know, it’s a baseball. Then I added that huge mustache. I spent like, at the very least 20 minutes just trying to get the mustache right! It’s one of those big, curly ones that goes way out to the sides.
- Circle for the head. Easy enough.
- Mustache struggles. Seriously, it took forever.
- Added the hat. It’s like an old-fashioned cap with a little brim.
- Eyes and a smile. Gotta make him look friendly, right?
- Coloring. Mostly red and white, because, well, it’s the Reds.

It’s not perfect, not even close,I think it’s look like a kid’s drawing. But I had a good time. And my friend who suggested it thought it was pretty cool, which is the most important.
I am still trying to do more practice to make the drawing skill better and better.I think I’ll probably try drawing some other mascots next. Maybe the Philly Phanatic. That thing looks wild!
