Okay, so yesterday I finally got around to checking out that Green Valley Greens Golf Course I’d heard so much about. I’ve been itching to get some rounds in, and this place kept popping up in conversations with my golf buddies.

First thing I did was wake up early. Grab my clubs from the garage, making sure they were all nice and clean.I even bothered to clean the grooves on my wedges – something I usually skip, to be honest. Then tossed my golf bag in the trunk, grabbed a coffee, and hit the road.
The drive over was pretty smooth. It’s a bit out of the way, but hey, that usually means fewer crowds, right? When pulling into the parking lot. It was bigger than I had expected.
The Course Itself
Checked in at the pro shop, pretty standard stuff. The guy behind the counter was friendly enough, gave me a scorecard and pointed me towards the first tee.
- The first hole, a par 4, looked straightforward enough. A generous fairway, not too much trouble. I ended up with a solid par to start the day.
- The front nine was a good mix of challenges. Some longer par 5s that really tested my driver, and a couple of tricky par 3s with water hazards that made me think twice about club selection.
- The greens were in fantastic shape. Fast, but true. I had a few putts that lipped out, which was frustrating, but that’s on me, not the course.
- The back nine got a little more interesting. More elevation changes, some tighter fairways lined with trees. It definitely demanded more accuracy off the tee.
- I played. ended up with a double bogey on the 18th.I won’t bore with the details.
All in all, it was a great day out on the course. Green Valley Greens is definitely a place I’d recommend. It’s challenging enough for experienced players, but still accessible for someone like me who just enjoys a good round of golf. I’m already planning my next trip back!
