Okay, so I saw this question online about whether boxing gloves hurt more or less than bare knuckles. I got curious, so I decided to do a little experiment myself. Here’s how it went down.

Getting Started
First, I got my hands on a pair of boxing gloves. They were pretty standard ones, nothing too fancy. Then, I needed something to hit. I didn’t want to punch a wall or anything (that seemed like a bad idea), so I used a heavy bag – you know, the kind boxers train with. It’s tough, but it also gives a bit of feedback.
The Experiment
- Bare Knuckle Punches: I started with some light jabs, just to get a feel for it. I threw a few harder punches, and yeah, it felt pretty raw. My knuckles started to sting, I felt it impact my bones.
- Gloved Punches: I put the boxing gloves. I could feel the padding soften the blow on my hands. I started throwing the same punches – light jabs, then some harder ones. I could really wind up and put my whole body into it without my hands screaming at me.
My conclusion
It is not safe to punch a human without gloves. However, After this little experiment, I am sure that I could put way more power into my punches with the gloves on. It is different from using bare knuckle, I think it is more painful to be hit when wearing gloves than bare fist.
