Okay, here’s my blog post about figuring out “Barnaul time”:
So, I needed to find out the current time in Barnaul. Sounds simple, right? Well, it kinda spiraled into a mini-project. I started with what I usually do.
My Usual Method
First, I needed find timezone about Barnaul, I tried to search and found some information.
My first thought was “Okay, just find any city time”. I do this all the time when chatting with my friends overseas.
Digging Deeper
Then, I tried searched something like “Barnaul time zone”. Barnaul is in the Krasnoyarsk Time Zone, which is GMT+7.Perfect!
Putting It All Together
I got the GMT+7,Then,I just needed to do the math.
For example:
- Current my time is: 2024-05-14 19:00:00(GMT+8)
- Barnaul Time: 2024-05-14 18:00:00(GMT+7)
Boom! Done. That’s how I figured out the time in Barnaul. Maybe a bit roundabout, but hey, I got there in the end, and learned a little something along the way!
