Okay, so I’ve been seeing all this hype around “Khabib Gym” workouts and decided to give it a shot. I mean, the guy’s a legend, right? So, I figured, why not see what all the fuss is about.

My “Khabib Gym” Experience
First off, let me just say, I don’t have access to an actual “Khabib Gym.” I’m just a regular dude with a regular gym membership. So, I had to do some digging online, watched a bunch of videos of Khabib and his team training, and tried to piece together a workout that seemed…Khabib-ish.
I started with a warm-up. Lots of dynamic stretching, you know, arm circles, leg swings, torso twists, the works. I think I spent like a solid 15 minutes just getting the blood flowing. Then got straight to wrestling.
Next up, I focused on grappling drills. Now, I don’t have a training partner, sadly. But then again, that might be a good thing, I might have died. I imagined I did, shadow wrestling? Is that a thing? I basically practiced sprawls, takedown attempts, and some ground-and-pound motions on a heavy bag. Sounds silly, I know, but I was trying to channel my inner Khabib.
- Sprawls (lots of them!)
- Takedown attempts (imaginary opponent, of course)
- Heavy bag work (ground and pound)
Then I hit the weights, but not like your typical bodybuilding stuff. I think the exercises that I did must be similar, it was more about functional strength. I did lots of compound movements:
- Pull-ups(3 sets to failure, my arms are screaming)
- Rows (Used dumbbells, tried to keep it explosive)
- Push-ups(Mix of regular, decline, and plyo push-ups…so tiring)
- Farmers walk (I don’t know what its called, but it’s something like I walked around the gym carrying heavy dumbbells for as long as I could).
Finally, I finished with some core work. Again, nothing fancy, just brutal, effective stuff. Planks, Russian twists, leg raises…the usual suspects. I tried to hold the planks for as long as humanly possible, imagining Khabib yelling at me to keep going.

Man, my body is tired. My muscles were shaking. It was intense. I get why this workout is so popular. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart, but you feel like a total beast afterward (a very tired, sore beast). But I did my best, and I felt I did good!
Honestly, I don’t know if I did it “right,” but I definitely pushed myself. Maybe I’ll try to find some more specific training guides online and refine it. This was my first attempt, and I’m pretty sure I’ll be feeling it tomorrow. But hey, no pain, no gain, right?
