Okay, so I’ve been meaning to get out on the green more, and I finally made it happen. I decided to check out the Raven Golf Club in Destin, FL. I’d heard some good things, and, well, I needed to work on my swing.

Getting Started
First things first, I booked a tee time. It was pretty easy, just went to the website, found time that suits me, I didn’t want to bake in the midday sun, so I opted for an earlier slot.
When I got there, the place looked pretty impressive. Really well-maintained, you know? I checked in at the pro shop, grabbed a cart, and headed out to the driving range to warm up a bit. Let me tell you, my first few swings were…rough. Definitely needed that warm-up!
Hitting the Course
The course itself is really nice. Lots of challenges, with the sand traps and water hazards. I won’t lie, I lost a few balls. I am not a good player, haha. But hey, that’s golf, right?
I played the full 18 holes. It took a while, but it was a beautiful day, so I didn’t mind. The scenery was great – lots of trees, and you get some nice views too.
After the Round
After I finished up, I was pretty hungry. I hited the restroom to clean my hands. Also, I stopped by the clubhouse. They’ve got a restaurant/bar area there, so I grabbed a burger and a drink. It was a pretty good burger, I needed that.

Overall Thoughts
All in all, it was a good day. The Raven Golf Club is a solid choice if you’re in the Destin area and want to play a round.
- Pros:Beautiful course, well-maintained, friendly staff.
- Cons: Can be a bit challenging for beginners (like me!), might be a little pricy, I do not konw.
I’d definitely go back, but maybe after a few more trips to the driving range first!
