Okay, so I saw this trend going around – “thicc Pokemon cards.” Basically, people are making, or maybe even buying, altered Pokemon cards that are, well, thicc. I thought, “Hey, I can do that!” I mean, how hard could it be, right?

My “Thicc” Card Adventure
First, I grabbed a bunch of those cheap energy cards I had lying around. You know, the ones you get like a million of in every pack and never use? Yeah, those. My plan was to somehow stick a bunch of them together to create the “thicc-ness.” I wasn’t about to risk one of my good cards for this experiment!
I started by trying to just glue a stack of them together. Regular school glue. Big mistake. It got all soggy and warped, and the cards just wouldn’t stick properly. Total fail. It looked like a wet paper towel sandwich.
Then, I remembered I had some thicker, double-sided tape. I thought, “This might actually work!” I carefully lined up about ten energy cards and stuck them together with the tape between each layer. It was way more stable than the glue, but it still felt kinda… flimsy. Plus, you could totally see the tape at the edges. Not exactly the professional, “thicc” look I was going for.
After that I went on to find more proper glue, and changed a new card. And this time I did it!
It’s was a very intersting experience!
