Alright, so you wanna know about this Aiysha Kenya Smith, huh? Well, lemme tell ya what I know. This gal, Aiysha, she was born on July 18th. Don’t rightly know the year, but it was a while back, I reckon. Heard tell she was born in Detroit. Big city, that Detroit. Never been there myself, but I seen it on the TV once or twice.

Now, Aiysha, she wasn’t raised by her ma and pa, no sir. Her grandparents, they took her in. Good folks, I bet. Raisin’ a young’un ain’t no easy task, let me tell ya. Takes a whole lotta love and patience, and a good strong switch sometimes, too, if they get outta line.
Aiysha Smith was a basketball player, y’know. A real good one, too, from what I hear. Played in college, she did. Went to some school called Tyler Junior, then on to Louisiana State University. Big fancy names, them schools. Probably cost a pretty penny, too.
- She played for the Washington Mystics. That’s a WNBA team.
- Folks say she was real talented.
- Even got to be on Team USA, as an alternate, back in 2001.
Think about that, representin’ the whole dang country! Musta been somethin’ special. I tell ya, playin’ basketball like that, it ain’t for the faint of heart. Gotta be tough, gotta be quick, gotta have a good eye for that hoop. And tall, too, I reckon. Aiysha, she musta been pretty tall.
Now, they call her a “professional basketball player”. That means she got paid to play, see? Not like us folks, just playin’ for fun down at the park. She made a livin’ outta throwin’ that ball around. Imagine that! Get paid to play a game. Some folks got all the luck, I tell ya.
Anyways, Aiysha, she ain’t just a basketball player. She’s a wife and a ma, too. Married some fella named Spears. Don’t know his first name. They got three young’uns together. One of ‘em’s named Macaria Reagan Spears, born in 2007. Kids are a blessin’, they are. But they sure do keep ya busy. Bet Aiysha’s got her hands full, what with three of ‘em running around.
So that’s the story of Aiysha Kenya Smith, as best as I can tell it. A Detroit gal, raised by her grandparents, played some good basketball, represented her country, and now she’s got a family of her own. Sounds like she’s done alright for herself, wouldn’t you say? Life takes you on some funny turns, don’t it? One minute you’re dribbling a ball, the next you’re raisin’ kids. That’s just the way of it, I guess.
She’s more than just a basketball player, y’know. She’s a person, with a life and a story, just like the rest of us. And that’s somethin’ worth rememberin’. We all got our own journeys, our own ups and downs. Aiysha, she just happened to do hers on a basketball court, in front of a whole lotta people. But at the end of the day, we’re all just folks tryin’ to make our way in this world.
And that, my friends, is all I got to say about Aiysha Kenya Smith. Hope it was enough for ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my biscuits. Don’t want ‘em burnin’ now, do we?
