Well, howdy there, y’all! Let’s talk about this… uh… “mills fron-teer league schedule,” whatever that is. Sounds fancy, but I reckon it’s just about some fellers hittin’ a ball with a stick, right? Anyways, let’s get to it.
So, from what I gathered, this here Frontier League is a big deal for baseball, like them fellas in the big leagues, but maybe not quite as… fancy. They got a bunch of teams, like, 18 of ‘em, some in America and some up in Canada. That’s a whole lotta teams, ain’t it? More teams than the chickens I got in my coop, that’s for sure!
Now, they got these teams all split up, see? Some in the West, like them fellas from Mississippi, Gateway, Joliet, Schaumburg and Windy City. And then there’s the Central, with Washington, Lake Erie, Florence and Evansville. Sounds like a whole lotta travelin’ to me. I get tired just goin’ to the market and back!
- West: Mississippi, Gateway, Joliet, Schaumburg, Windy City
- Central: Washington, Lake Erie, Florence, Evansville
And get this, eight of them teams get to go to somethin’ called the “playoffs.” That’s like the big dance, I guess. Four of them division champs, and then four more “wild cards.” Sounds like them wild cards are just lucky fellas who didn’t win but still get to play. Kinda like when my prize-winning rooster got loose but still ended up findin’ his way back home.
They say this here Frontier League is a “partner” with the MLB, the Major League Baseball fellas. That’s the big time, ya know? So, these Frontier League boys must be pretty good, though I reckon they ain’t hittin’ them balls as far as them fellas on TV. They say it’s like “High-A” level. Whatever that means. Just means they’re good, I reckon.
Now, about that schedule… They don’t tell me much, do they? I heard tell that the championship thingy, the “Frontier League Championship Series,” is set to start around September 16th. And the Midwest fellas get to host some games, games 3, 4, and 5 I think. That’s about all I know about when they playin’. They keep things mighty secret, don’t they?
This Gateway Grizzlies team, they’re from Illinois, place called Sauget. Never been there myself. Too busy tendin’ to my garden and chickens. They play in the West Division, fightin’ for a spot in them playoffs. Good for them, I say.
And then there was this somethin’ about Quebec Capitales. Sounds French, don’t it? They won somethin’ last year, walked-off, they said. Guess that means they won at the last minute. Good for them too, I reckon. Everyone likes a winner, even if I don’t understand all the fancy words they use.
So, there ya have it. That’s all I know about this here “mills fron-teer league schedule.” They got a bunch of teams, play a bunch of games, and some of ‘em get to go to the playoffs. And that’s all she wrote, folks! Just remember, it’s all about hittin’ that ball and havin’ some fun, ain’t it? Just like chasin’ chickens, but with more people watchin’.
And they announcin’ the 2025 schedule soon. They say the MLB Partner Frontier League and the Joliet Slammers are excited. Well, good for them. More games for folks to watch, I guess.

Anyways, that’s enough jabberin’ from me. I gotta go feed them chickens now.
