So, I stumbled upon this “Old Bank Saloon” thing, and I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I mean, the name itself sounded kinda cool and mysterious, right?

First, I did some digging. Gotta know what you’re getting yourself into, you know? Turns out, it’s like, this historical-themed bar. Ok. That’s not much, I need make it myself.
The Start: Materials
I started with gathering some old wood planks. The kind you’d find in an, well, old bank or a saloon I guess. Found some in my friend’s backyard.
- wood planks.
- Some rusty-looking nails, ’cause, authenticity.
- A hammer, obviously.
- And some dark wood stain, to give it that aged look.
Building it
Then, it was time to get my hands dirty. I laid out the planks, trying to figure out a good size and shape for my mini-saloon. I’m no carpenter, mind you, so it was a lot of trial and error. I hammered, I messed up, I hammered some more. The nails were a pain, bending every which way, but I eventually got them in. More or less.
After what felt like forever, I had a basic structure. It wasn’t pretty, but it was standing! That’s a win in my book.
Giving it the Look
Next up, the staining. I slapped on that dark stain, not really knowing what I was doing. I just went for it. And you know what? It actually started to look kinda cool. The wood grain popped, and it had that old-timey vibe I was going for.
The Final Result
I added a little sign that said “Old Bank Saloon” because, well, it needed a sign. And that’s it! My very own, slightly wonky, definitely not-perfect, Old Bank Saloon.
It’s not something you’d see in a museum, but it’s mine. And I built it. That’s gotta count for something, right?
