Okay, so today I wanted to mess around with something I saw online – the “Mbappe shrug.” You know, that little gesture he does? I figured, why not try to recreate it and see how it looks?
First, I stood in front of a mirror. This was crucial, I needed to see what I was doing. I started by just trying to mimic the basic pose. Arms out, palms up, kinda like “I dunno 
”.
Getting the Details Right
It wasn’t as easy as it looks! I spent a good few minutes just adjusting my shoulders. They needed to be raised, but not too raised. It’s a subtle shrug, not a full-on “I’m freezing” kind of thing.
- Shoulders: Not too high, not too low. Just a little lift.
- Arms: Bent at the elbows, but relaxed.
- Hands: Palms up, fingers kinda loose.
- Face: Key! Blank expression. It needs some practice!
I kept practicing, tweaking things here and there. The face was the hardest part. It’s not a smile, not a frown…it’s just…nothing. A total blank slate. I tried to channel my inner Mbappe, thinking about maybe a missed goal or something.
Finally, after maybe 10-15 minutes of awkward mirror time, I think I got something that resembles the “Mbappe shrug.” It’s not perfect, but it’s close enough. I guess you could say that mission is a “sort of” accomplished!
