Okay, so lemme tell you about this whole “pokimane brand drop” thing I dove into. It was a ride, man.

First, I saw the buzz online, right? Everyone was talking about Pokimane launching her own company, something called MIMA Cosmetics. I was curious, I ain’t gonna lie. I mean, I know she’s a big streamer and all, but like, cosmetics? Seemed kinda outta left field.
So, I did some digging. I watched her announcement video, which was, like, super polished. She talked about wanting to create products that are actually good and affordable, and that she’d been working on this for ages. Okay, cool. Marketing 101, but it sounded genuine enough.
Then I actually went to the MIMA website. Clean design, minimal, you know, that whole aesthetic. They were launching with just a few products: a blush, a lip gloss, and a face palette. The prices were…decent. Not dirt cheap, but not crazy expensive either. Right in that sweet spot, I guess.
I decided to bite the bullet and order something. I grabbed the “Two Pillows” blush. The name was kinda weird, but the color looked nice on the screen. The checkout process was smooth, no issues there. Standard stuff.
Fast forward a few days, the package arrived. Packaging was cute, minimalist, all that. I opened it up, and the blush itself felt pretty solid. Good weight to it, not like some cheap plastic thing. I swatched it on my hand, and the color payoff was actually pretty good. Not chalky or anything.

The real test, though, was actually wearing it. I applied it to my cheeks, and I gotta say, I was surprised. It blended really well, and the color was buildable. It looked pretty natural, which is what I’m going for. It actually lasted pretty much all day too, which is a big plus.
So, overall? I was pleasantly surprised. I went in expecting some streamer merch cash grab, but it actually seems like she put some effort into it. The quality is solid, the price is reasonable, and the product actually works. Would I buy from MIMA again? Yeah, probably. I’m curious to see what else they come out with.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
- Saw the announcement
- Researched the brand
- Bought a product (the blush)
- Received the package
- Tested the product
- Formed an opinion
It’s not gonna change the world or anything, but it’s a decent makeup product from a brand that, so far, seems legit. That’s my two cents.
