Alright, so the other day I got that itch again, you know? Thinking about the next Formula 1 season and, naturally, wondering about the next installment of Drive to Survive. Season 7, gotta know when it’s dropping.
So, what did I do? First thing, I fired up my trusty old laptop. Waited for it to boot up, always takes a minute longer than I’d like. Then I opened up my web browser, the usual routine.
My fingers went straight to the keyboard. I typed in something simple, probably “Drive to Survive season 7 release date”. Hit enter and waited for the magic of the internet.
What came back? Well, a lot of chatter, honestly. Lots of fan sites, news articles, forums, all talking about it. People making predictions, throwing dates around. Saw a few mentioning late February, maybe early March 2025. That sounded about right, thinking back.
Digging a Little Deeper
But you know me, I like to see if there’s anything official. Just reading guesses doesn’t really satisfy. So, I specifically looked for news from Netflix itself or the official Formula 1 channels. Went to their sites, scrolled through their news sections, checked their social media feeds. Nada. Nothing concrete.
It’s usually like this, though. They don’t tend to announce the exact date super far in advance. They like to build up a bit of hype closer to the time.
So, I started thinking about the past seasons.
- Season 1 came out before the 2019 season started.
- Season 2, same deal, just before the 2020 races (though that year got weird fast).
- It’s become a pattern, right? They always release it in that late winter window, just before the new F1 season kicks off, to get everyone buzzing.
Based on that history, the February/March 2025 timeframe everyone’s guessing seems pretty logical. The new F1 season usually starts around then, so dropping the show a week or two before makes perfect sense.
So, the end result of my little search? No official date confirmed yet for Drive to Survive Season 7. But, putting two and two together based on how they’ve always done it, I’m putting my money on late February or early March next year, 2025. We just gotta wait and see when they make the official announcement. Until then, it’s just the waiting game.
