Alright, so I finally got around to watching Love Island USA season 2. Heard people talking about it, figured I’d see what the fuss was about. Just started streaming it one evening.

Pretty early on, this dude Carrington stood out. He had that kinda confident walk, you know? Initially, he coupled up with Kaitlynn. It was okay, kinda standard early villa stuff, nothing too wild. I watched them try to vibe, but honestly, wasn’t feeling a massive spark there myself, just watching from my couch.
Then Casa Amor Happened
Man, Casa Amor. That’s always where things get messy. I remember sitting there, thinking about who would stick and who would twist. Carrington was with Kierstan at this point, and she seemed really into him. But you could kinda see his head starting to turn over at Casa. I was watching him interact with the new girls, specifically Laurel.
And yeah, he did it. He walked back into the main villa with Laurel. Seeing Kierstan standing there alone… oof. That was rough to watch. You really felt that moment. It definitely made me see Carrington in a different light. Less predictable, maybe?
The Laurel Rollercoaster
So then it was Carrington and Laurel. Their journey was… a lot. I watched them have good moments, sure. But then there were times I was just scratching my head.
- He seemed to flip-flop a bit, or at least question things out loud.
- I remember him making comments comparing Laurel to other girls, like Lakeyn later on.
- Watching their dates and conversations, sometimes it felt solid, other times shaky.
Honestly, it was confusing to follow his headspace sometimes. He’d say one thing, then his actions or eyes seemed to say something else. I kept thinking, “Dude, what do you actually want?”

End Game Shenanigans
Towards the end, things got even more complicated with Lakeyn coming in. He clearly had his head turned again. I watched him go on that date with Lakeyn and the chemistry, or at least the novelty, seemed strong. It threw another wrench into the whole Carrington and Laurel thing right before the finish line.
He ended up sticking with Laurel for the final coupling, and they came in fourth place. But watching that whole back-and-forth near the end made the final decision feel less like a sure thing. It was more like, “Okay, he landed here, but wow, what a bumpy ride getting there.”
My Takeaway
Watching Carrington’s journey through season 2 was definitely not boring. He brought drama, uncertainty, and some pretty surprising moves. You couldn’t really pin him down. It made for good TV, I guess, but man, as a viewer just trying to follow along, it was a bit of whiplash sometimes. He certainly kept me watching, wondering what he’d do next.
