Okay, So About Today’s Plan… Or Lack Thereof for That Topic
So, I was sitting here, right? Thinking about what to share, what little project or thought process I’ve been wrestling with. You know how it is, sometimes ideas just pop up, and sometimes… well, sometimes suggestions come in that make you go, ‘Woah, hold on a minute there.’
Someone, somewhere, threw out a title idea for today’s share. And let me tell you, it was a real head-scratcher, and not in a good way. I’m not even going to type it out here because, frankly, it’s the kind of thing that just doesn’t belong on this blog. We’re trying to keep things, you know, sensible? Something you wouldn’t be embarrassed to have pop up. Definitely not looking to get into stuff that’s just plain vulgar.
My whole thing here is sharing actual stuff I’ve gone through, things I’ve tinkered with, or seriously thought about from my own experiences. And when a topic suggestion lands on my desk that’s clearly just for shock value, or is just… well, crude and uncalled for, I’ve got to say no. That’s not what I’m about. It’s not what this space is for.
I mean, seriously, what’s the ‘practice’ in that? What’s the useful bit for anyone? Some things are just off-limits, and for good reason. It’s like someone asking me to detail how I spent my day throwing mud at a wall. Why? What’s the point? It’s not productive, and it’s certainly not something I’d call a ‘practice record’ worth sharing.
- First up, there’s just the basic decency filter. Some stuff is a no-go from the start.
- Second, where’s the actual constructive element? Can’t find any.
- And third, to be honest, it feels like it would be a massive waste of your time to read, and my time to write.
So, yeah, that particular idea for a post? That got a big nope from me. My ‘practice’ for today ended up being about using good judgment, I suppose. Figuring out what not to dive into. Sometimes, that’s a super important skill, right? Knowing where to draw the line and stick to what actually feels right and valuable, instead of chasing cheap thrills or diving into stuff that’s just… not good.
We’re going to stick to things that are a bit more on the level. Or at least, not that. So, that suggestion went straight into the virtual trash can. Consider this my record of ‘things I thought about and then wisely decided against pursuing today.’ And you know what? I feel pretty solid about that decision. Let’s move on to better, more interesting things, folks!
