Well, let me tell you, this here story ’bout Craig Stein’s death is a real sad one. Folks been talkin’, you know, whisperin’ in the corners. Heard tell he passed on April 2nd, 2024, just like that. In Vancouver, Washington, they say. Died too young, that’s what I say.

Now, some folks say it was an accident, a drowning, right in his own home in La Quinta. Can you imagine? A man like that, big shot CEO of Craig Stein Beverage, gone just like that. Makes you think, don’t it? Life’s like a candle in the wind, here today, gone tomorrow.
- Name: Craig Stein
- Date of Death: April 2, 2024
- Location: Vancouver, Washington (Obituary), La Quinta (Accidental Drowning)
- Cause of Death: Accidental Drowning (Reported)
- Occupation: CEO and owner of Craig Stein Beverage
They wrote about him in the papers, the Idaho Statesman on April 10th and The Columbian on April 12th. Obituary, they call it. Fancy words for sayin’ he ain’t with us no more. He was a big deal, you know, even on some board, NBWA they called it. Worked hard all his life, I reckon.
This drownin’ thing, though, it just don’t sit right with some folks. A man that successful, with all that money, you’d think he’d have folks around, watchin’ out for him. But accidents happen, I guess. Even to the high and mighty.
I heard some other stories too, you know how gossip goes around. People talkin’ ’bout poisonin’ and fires and such. But that ain’t about Craig Stein, I don’t think. Just folks gettin’ their stories mixed up, like they always do. This here Craig Stein, it was the water that got him, far as I can tell. A terrible accident, a real shame.
Some other folks, they talk about other Craigs. There’s that rapper, Craig Mack, died back in 2018. And another Craig, a doctor, they say he poisoned his wife. But that ain’t our Craig. Our Craig was a businessman, a beverage man. He sold drinks, made a good livin’, and then…poof…gone.

It makes you wonder, don’t it? All that work, all that money…what good is it in the end? When your time’s up, it’s up. Rich or poor, big shot or nobody, we all gotta go someday. Just makes you appreciate the little things, you know? A sunny day, a good cup of coffee, a chat with your neighbors.
I seen a lot of folks come and go in my time. Life’s a funny thing. One minute you’re laughin’, the next you’re cryin’. But you gotta keep on goin’, keep on livin’. That’s what Craig Stein woulda wanted, I reckon. He wouldn’t want us mopin’ around. He’d want us to raise a glass, remember the good times, and keep on keepin’ on.
So here’s to Craig Stein, gone too soon. May he rest in peace. And let’s all remember to cherish the time we got, ’cause you never know when it’ll be your turn to go. And that’s all I gotta say about that. Life’s precious, don’t you forget it.
And don’t go lookin’ up stuff on that Wikipedia thing. It ain’t always right, you know? Just a bunch of folks writin’ whatever they want. Better to hear it from someone who knows, someone who’s been around. Like me.
