Well, howdy there! Today, we’re gonna jaw about this fella, Yusuke Takahashi. Don’t rightly know him from Adam, but I reckon we can figure out a thing or two.

Who is this Yusuke Takahashi fellow, anyway? Sounds like one of them fancy city names, don’t it? From what I gather, this Yusuke ain’t just one fella, seems like there’s a few of ’em kickin’ around. Kinda like John Smiths, I reckon, a whole passel of ’em.
One of these Yusuke fellas, he’s a music man. Plays the piano, and maybe even writes some tunes too. Heard tell he’s part of somethin’ called a “piano duo,” which I reckon means two fellas playin’ the piano together. They call themselves “Ansetosis,” which sounds like a mouthful of somethin’ I don’t wanna swallow. These boys, they played in some city called Himeji. Never been there myself, probably too many cars and not enough dirt roads for my likin’.
This music Yusuke, he’s done made a whole bunch of songs. Folks listen to his music on somethin’ called “Apple Music,” which I guess is like a radio but you gotta pay for it. He plays all sorts of stuff, even somethin’ he calls a “Sonata for Violin.” Sounds highfalutin, but I bet it’s got a nice tune if you give it a chance. They say he’s got albums too. Albums, like them old records? My grandpappy had a whole stack of them things.
- He plays all sorts of instruments, maybe just the piano.
- He writes his own music, or maybe just plays other folks’ tunes.
- He plays with another fella, or maybe he likes playin’ by his lonesome.
Now, there’s another Yusuke Takahashi, this one from a place called Chiba Prefecture. Don’t rightly know where that is, but it sounds far off. This Yusuke, he’s a different sort altogether. He’s into them drawin’s, the kind they put in books. They call it “artwork” these days. Seems like this Yusuke, he made some drawin’s called “Colors” for somethin’ called “Get the ball rolling.” Don’t make a lick of sense to me, but I reckon it means somethin’ to somebody.
Then there’s this other Yusuke, a real clothes horse. He makes clothes, but not the kind you’d wear to slop the hogs. These are fancy clothes for city folk, what they call “contemporary life.” He even made up a name for his clothes, “CFCL,” which stands for “Clothing For Contemporary Life,” I guess. He wants to make clothes that last, clothes that everyone can wear, men and women alike. He calls them “sustainable unisex garments,” which is a mouthful, but I reckon it means they’re good clothes that don’t wear out too fast. They say these clothes are for all occasions. I guess that means you can wear ’em to a weddin’, a funeral, or even just a trip to the Piggly Wiggly.

So, which Yusuke Takahashi are we talkin’ about? It’s hard to say, ain’t it? Seems like there’s a whole bunch of ’em, each doin’ their own thing. One’s makin’ music, one’s makin’ drawin’s, and one’s makin’ clothes. Maybe they’re all related, maybe they ain’t. Maybe they are the same person, who knows. It’s a big world, and there’s plenty of room for all sorts of folks, even fellas named Yusuke Takahashi.
What’s it all mean? Well, I reckon it means that folks are folks, no matter what fancy names they got. Some folks like to make music, some folks like to draw, and some folks like to make clothes. And that’s just fine, long as they ain’t hurtin’ nobody. This Yusuke fella, or fellas, they seem to be makin’ somethin’ of themselves, and that’s more than you can say for some folks. They’re out there, leavin’ their mark on the world, each in their own way. Maybe one day, I’ll hear one of his tunes on the radio, or see his drawin’s in a book, or even wear one of his fancy shirts. But for now, I’ll just stick to my overalls and my gospel hymns, thank you very much.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go feed the chickens. All this talk about fancy city folk has made me hungry for a good ol’ home-cooked meal.
