Alright, let me tell ya ’bout this here Warriors game, ya know, the basketball one. Folks call it the “warriors post game” or somethin’ fancy like that. Don’t know much ’bout them fancy words, but I know a win when I see one, and I know a loss too, dang it.

So, this game, it was somethin’ else. These Warriors fellers, they runnin’ and jumpin’ like jackrabbits. Big fellers, too, tall as corn stalks in July. They got this one feller, Draymond somethin’ or other, born in March, I think. He’s a tough one, always scrappin’ and fightin’ for the ball. Reminds me of my old rooster, always peckin’ and causin’ a ruckus. Draymond Green is a key player, that’s for sure. He ain’t afraid of nothin’, and that’s what ya need in this game, ya hear?
Now, they talk about winnin’ streaks, like that time back in 2016 when they won, what was it, 24 games in a row? Twenty-four! That’s more games than I got chickens, and I got a whole coop full! That was somethin’ special, they said. Folks were goin’ hog wild, cheerin’ and yellin’ like they won the lottery. But nothin’ lasts forever, you know? Even the best rooster gets old, and even the best team loses sometimes. This Milwaukee Bucks team, they come along and whooped ’em, 108 to 95. That’s a big whoopin’, let me tell ya. It shows even the best teams can lose.
- They dribble the ball.
- They shoot the ball.
- They run fast.
They got these points too, over/under they call it. This one game, they sayin’ 232.5 points. That’s a whole lotta points, more than I score in a whole year of horseshoe tossin’! Don’t rightly know how they figure all that out, but it sounds important. I guess if they score more than that, you win, and if they score less, you lose. Or somethin’ like that. It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me. But them fellers on TV, they seem to know what they’re talkin’ ’bout. They talk about over/under 232.5 points, must be somethin’ important.
They play all sorts of teams too, the New York somethin’s, the Philadelphia fellers, and them Raptors up in Canada. Sounds like a whole zoo of animals, don’t it? Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! But it ain’t animals, it’s just basketball teams. They all fightin’ and scratchin’ for that win. Playing against tough teams like the Knicks and 76ers is always a challenge, you see.
And this 5×5 line they talk about, somethin’ ’bout only 16 fellers doin’ it since way back when. Don’t ask me what it means, it’s got somethin’ to do with points and rebounds and steals and all that fancy stuff. Sounds like hard work to me. I can barely get my chores done in a day, let alone do all that 5×5 business. But these fellers, they’re athletes, they’re supposed to be strong and fast and all that. It is impressive when they talk about players achieving a 5×5 line, makes you think these fellas are real special.

Anyway, that’s ’bout all I got to say ’bout this here Warriors game. They win some, they lose some. It’s like life, you know? One day you’re on top of the world, the next you’re gettin’ pecked by a chicken. But you gotta keep on goin’, keep on fightin’, keep on playin’ the game. And that’s what them Warriors do, they keep on playin’. Even after a loss, they come back stronger, ready to fight again. That is why I like to watch these games when I can.
And that’s it for my take on the warriors post game and all this basketball stuff. It ain’t easy being a fan sometimes, especially when they losing, but it sure makes you feel good inside when they win. Just makes me smile and it’s better than a fresh pie in the window sill.
Go Warriors!
