Howdy, y’all, let’s yak about them Champs 2023, whatever they are!

So, these Champs 2023, they’re a big deal, like a county fair but bigger, I reckon. Folks are all riled up about watchin’ ’em. You can watch these here games on somethin’ called the “Twitch” and the “YouTube.” Sounds fancy, huh? My grandson, he’s always glued to that YouTube contraption, watchin’ folks playin’ games or makin’ silly faces.
Now, they say all sorts of folks will be watchin’ these Champs. Gamers, they call ’em, and other folks who make videos. They’ll be watchin’ live, just like watchin’ a rooster fight, but prob’ly less feathers flyin’. And if you want to know what’s what, they got this YouTube channel, like a town crier but online, tellin’ you all the news about these games.
Where they holdin’ these shindigs, you ask?
- Well, some of ’em were in Seoul and Busan. Heard tell them’s big cities, bigger than my whole county, I bet.
- They got this place called the “LoL Park.” Sounds like a place for kids, but I guess it’s where they play these games. Fancy name, ain’t it? Like a park, but for… well, I don’t rightly know what for.
Now, these championships, they ain’t just one game. It’s a whole shebang, like a harvest festival that goes on and on. They got schedules and dates and all sorts of things to keep track of. Makes my head spin, it does.
Here’s what I managed to scribble down:

Some games are in December, from the 20th all the way to the next January, the 20th! That’s a whole month of… of whatever this is! They play some games on the 20th and 21st of December, then they take a breather, I guess, and play again on the 31st and the 1st of January. Sounds like they like to party on New Year’s Eve, just like the rest of us, but instead of dancin’, they’re… well, they’re doin’ their game thing.
And there’s this big game, somethin’ about a national championship. They played it on a Monday, they did. Folks got all sorts of names for it, like “Playoff Fan Central,” “Allstate Championship Tailgate,” “Trophy Trot,” “Taste of the Championship,” and “Media Day.” Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it? Like tryin’ to say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” after a jug of moonshine.
They held these things in all sorts of places too: Houston, Los Angeles, Indianapolis, Miami, New Orleans… Seems like they like to travel around, these championship folks. Prob’ly gettin’ tired of eatin’ the same ol’ cookin’, just like me when I visit my sister Bessie.
And if you wanna watch this here big game, they say you gotta go to somethin’ called “ESPN’s channels” or their app. Sounds complicated. I reckon I’ll just stick to watchin’ the chickens peck in the yard.
So, there you have it, y’all. That’s what I know about these Champs 2023. It’s a whole lot of games, a whole lot of places, and a whole lot of fuss. But hey, folks seem to like it, so who am I to judge? I reckon I’ll just go back to my gardenin’ and let them young’uns have their fun. Just hope they don’t make too much noise, disturbin’ my peace and quiet.

But if you want to know more, search for Champs 2023 and you’ll find lots more information, I guess. Just remember to take it all with a grain of salt, like my grandpappy used to say. And don’t forget, you can watch it on TV and all them computer things too, so there’s plenty of ways to see what all the fuss is about.
This whole “Champs 2023” thing seems like a big to-do, but it ain’t somethin’ I rightly understand. I’m happy enough with my chickens and my garden, thank you very much. But for those of you who are into this sort of thing, I hope you enjoy yourselves and that your team wins, or whatever it is you’re supposed to cheer for.
Now, I’m going to go make myself some sweet tea, if you’ll excuse me. All this talk of cities and games and apps has made me thirsty! And remember, no matter what these city folk are doin’, there’s nothin’ more important than good food, good company, and a good night’s sleep. That’s the real championship, if you ask me.
