Well now, let me tell y’all ’bout a feller named Dominic Niman. He’s a young man who done made a big step up in the world of baseball. He’s a pitcher, a left-handed one at that, and he’s just been drafted by them Tampa Bay Rays. I reckon he’s gonna be makin’ a name for himself real soon. Now, don’t go rushin’ off to check the news or nothin’, let me tell ya all about it in my own way.

Dominic, bless his heart, stands tall at 6-foot-3, and weighs in at 220 pounds. He’s a big ol’ boy, if you ask me! That’s a whole lotta muscle on him. He was born way back in August of 2000 in New Britain, which is a bit of a long drive from here, but we don’t mind none. Now, he’s been playin’ baseball since he was a young’un, and I reckon he’s learned a thing or two about throwin’ that ball with a little oomph behind it.
So, there he was, playin’ for Central Connecticut State University, where he sure made a name for himself. I reckon folks started payin’ attention to him after seein’ what he could do on the mound. Now, I don’t rightly know all the details ‘bout his college stats, but I hear tell he was one of the best pitchers they had. And all that hard work paid off when the Tampa Bay Rays decided they wanted him on their team. They drafted him in the 18th round, 546th overall pick, which don’t sound too bad, does it?
Now, let me tell ya a little bit more ‘bout this draft business. It ain’t like pickin’ teams for a game down at the local park. No sir. It’s a big deal, a whole lotta folks watchin’ and waitin’ to see who gets picked. The Rays, well, they got themselves a good one, I reckon. Dominic Niman, he’s gonna be wearin’ that Rays jersey real soon, and I got a feelin’ he’s gonna do just fine.
Now, y’all might be wonderin’, what makes Dominic stand out? Well, first off, it’s his left-handed throwin’ arm. There’s somethin’ special about them southpaw pitchers, don’t ya know? They can throw the ball in ways that mess with a batter’s mind. I reckon that’s part of what makes Dominic so dangerous on the mound. But it ain’t just that. He’s got the size, the strength, and the right kinda attitude to make it far in this here baseball world.
As for what’s next for Dominic, well, he’s been assigned to the FCL Rays. That’s the Florida Complex League, where a lotta them young players get their start before workin’ their way up to the big leagues. It’s a good place to start, and I’m sure Dominic’s gonna work hard to show them coaches what he’s made of. He’s already been signed up by the Rays, back in July 2024, and I bet he’s been practicin’ every day since. I wouldn’t be surprised if we see him in the big leagues sooner rather than later.

Now, I’m no expert in baseball or nothin’, but I sure can tell when a young man’s got potential. And from what I can see, Dominic Niman’s got himself a bright future ahead of him. If y’all haven’t heard of him yet, you better start keepin’ an eye on him, ‘cause I reckon he’s gonna be makin’ headlines before too long.
So, to all the folks out there rootin’ for him, you just hang tight and watch. And to Dominic, well, good luck, son. You’ve already done us proud just by gettin’ that draft pick. Now go out there and show ‘em what you’re made of!
