You see, this here Denver Nuggets cap, it’s a big deal. My grandson, he’s crazy about them Nuggets. He says they’re the best, the top dogs. He wanted this cap so bad. Says it’s important to have one if you are a real fan.
This team, the Denver Nuggets, they play that basketball game. I don’t know much about it, but they are pretty good, I guess. They throw that orange ball around and jump real high. My grandson watches them all the time on that big TV of his. He yells and cheers so loud sometimes, nearly scares the cat right out of the room! He says I should watch with him, but all that running around makes my head spin.
This hat, this Denver Nuggets cap, it’s got their name on it. Big letters, so you can see it real good. It’s blue, like the sky on a clear day. And it’s got that picture of mountains, you know. Reminds me of back home, where I used to live, way up in the hills. We had some good times up there, just like those Nuggets. They’re having good times now, I reckon.
My grandson told me this team, the Denver Nuggets, they’re worth a lot of money, like millions or something. I couldn’t believe it! Who would have thought throwing a ball around could be worth so much.

He said the players, they got some fella named Jokic and another named Murray. I can’t say I remember their names right, but my grandson talks about them like they’re family or something. He says they are the reason the team is so good. He keeps saying they need another good player, someone who can shoot the ball real good. He mentioned some fella named LaVine. I don’t know who he is, but my grandson sure hopes they get him on the team!
The Denver Nuggets cap, it’s more than just a hat, you see. It’s about being a part of something. That’s what my grandson says. He says it’s about showing you love the team, that you’re a real fan. He wears it all the time, even when he’s not watching the game. He says he’s proud of his team and that Denver Nuggets cap, he says, shows the whole world.
That shop, Foot Locker, they got all kinds of things for the Denver Nuggets. My grandson, he goes there, looking for shoes. They got shoes like the players wear, he says. He’s always wanting something new from there. Says he needs to keep up with the latest, whatever that means.
They got all sorts of things with the Nuggets name on it. Shirts, and those shorts they wear, and even those little basketballs. You name it, they got it. All with that Nuggets name, big and bold. It’s a real sight to see, all that stuff. And folks buy it up like hotcakes! Everyone wants to show they are fans of the Denver Nuggets, I reckon.

This Denver Nuggets cap, it made my grandson happy. That’s all that matters to me. He’s a good boy, and he loves his basketball. And if this hat makes him feel good, then I’m glad he’s got it. It’s just a hat, I know, but to him, it’s a whole lot more. It’s about that team, those Denver Nuggets, and the joy they bring him. And that’s worth more than all the money in the world, I reckon.
I went to another store, called Nordstrom, they had some Denver Nuggets cap too. Not as many as Foot Locker, but a few. They were real nice, too. But my grandson, he wanted this special one. He said it was the real deal, the one all the true fans want.
I heard this team, the Denver Nuggets, they won some big game last year. They were the champions, my grandson said. He was so excited, jumping around like a little rabbit. I guess that’s why this Denver Nuggets cap is so special. It’s got something on it about them winning, about being the best. That’s something to be proud of, I suppose.
My grandson, he said they even got old jerseys from a long time ago. He showed me pictures, all these different colors. Said they were from the ’90s, which don’t mean much to me, but they sure looked different. He likes those old ones, says they’re classic. I don’t know about that, but they sure were something else.
I don’t understand all this fuss about a Denver Nuggets cap, but it’s important to him. And that’s what matters. He’s happy, and that makes me happy. That’s all a grandma can ask for, ain’t it?
