Yo, listen up, you young’uns! It’s Week 12 already, time flies when you’re having fun, or something like that. Gotta figure out who to start and who to sit in your fantasy football, huh? It’s a real head-scratcher, I tell ya. This whole thing is harder than pickin’ the best pumpkin at the county fair.

Well, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout this start/sit thing down at the market. They were sayin’ it’s mighty important to pick the right players. It’s like pickin’ the right seeds for your garden. You gotta know what you’re doin’, or you ain’t gonna get nothin’ good.
This Week 12, it’s like, a big deal, I guess. Lots of games, lots of players. Hard to keep track of it all. Like tryin’ to count all the chickens in my coop after a fox got in. Messy, I tell ya.
- Start that Smith-Njigba fella. Heard he’s been doin’ real good. Racking up points, they say.
- That Brown kid, from the Bengals, they gonna play hard and need him. They say he’s a good start this week.
- And that Westbrook-Ikhine boy, from the Titans, he’s gonna play a lot. Could be good to start, too.
This fantasy football stuff, it’s like a whole other language. Back in my day, we didn’t have nothin’ like this. We just had real football, you know? The kind you play outside, in the dirt. These kids today, they got it easy, sittin’ inside, playin’ on their computers.
But, I guess it’s fun for them. Keeps ’em outta trouble, maybe. Long as they don’t forget to do their chores, I suppose. And don’t be stayin’ up all night playin’ these games. Gotta get your sleep, you know? Like plantin’ them crops, gotta give them their rest.
This Week 12 start/sit thing, it ain’t easy. You gotta think about who’s playin’ who, and who’s been doin’ good, and who’s been sittin’ on the bench. It’s like tryin’ to figure out which cow’s gonna give the most milk. You gotta know your cows, you see. And you gotta know your players for this fantasy football.

And don’t go puttin’ all your eggs in one basket, neither. Gotta spread it out, like plantin’ different kinds of vegetables. Can’t just plant all corn, you gotta have some beans and tomatoes, too. Same with this fantasy football thing, you need wide receivers and running backs and, uh, tight ends, I think they call them. Sounds painful, if you ask me.
Don’t forget about that defense, too. Gotta have a good defense, keep them other teams from scorin’. Like a good fence around your garden, keep them rabbits out. And a kicker, they say you need one of them, too. For kickin’, I reckon. Seems obvious.
They say fantasy football, it’s a game of skill. Maybe so. But there’s a lot of luck involved, too. Just like farmin’. You can do everything right, but if the weather don’t cooperate, ain’t nothin’ gonna grow. Same with this Week 12, I guess. You can pick all the right players, but if they have a bad day, well, that’s just tough luck.
So, who should you start this Week 12? Well, that Brown fella, he seems like a good bet. And that Smith-Njigba, he’s been hot, they say. And don’t forget about that Westbrook-Ikhine, he might surprise you. But don’t just take my word for it, you gotta do your own research. Like checkin’ the Farmer’s Almanac, you gotta know what you’re doin’.
And remember, it’s just a game. Don’t go gettin’ all worked up about it. Like when them crows get into your cornfield, you just gotta shoo ’em away and move on. Can’t let it ruin your whole day. So good luck with your start/sit decisions and have fun playing this fantasy football.

I’m tellin’ ya, these young folks and their fancy games. Keeps ’em busy, I suppose. Just remember to water your crops, feed your chickens, and don’t forget to say your prayers. Oh, and pick that Brown kid, from the Bengals. He’s gonna be a good one for Week 12, I just know it in my bones, maybe that’s the arthritis talkin’.
This whole fantasy football thing is beyond me, but hey, if it makes you happy, go for it. Just don’t come cryin’ to me when your team loses. I got enough to worry about with my bad hip and them darn squirrels gettin’ into my bird feeder. Anyway, good luck with your Week 12 picks! And try to get some fresh air once in a while, it’s good for ya.
These new-fangled things, like this fantasy football and this start/sit for Week 12. It is all a bit much for an old lady like me. But, you young folks seem to enjoy it. And that’s all that matters, I suppose. Keep pickin’ them players. That’s important, just like pickin’ the best apples from the tree. And remember, don’t put all your apples in one basket! You gotta have a good mix. Like a good stew, you need all sorts of things in there to make it tasty.
