Well, I tell ya, that Kansas City game, it’s somethin’ else. My grandson, he’s always yellin’ at the TV about it. He’s a good boy, but he sure gets worked up over that football. I don’t know all the fancy names, but that one fella, the one they call Mahomes, he sure can throw that ball.
They was playin’ the other day, and the score, it was goin’ back and forth like a chicken with its head cut off. One minute them Kansas City Chiefs is winnin’, the next they ain’t. It changes so fast. You can’t keep track. They were ahead, then they were behind. They got some points, then the other team got more. It gave me a headache, I tell ya. That score, it was jumpin’ all over the place.
I heard them talkin’ on the TV about that Kansas City Chiefs game and someone named Taylor Swift. They said she weren’t there. She’s some big-time singer. My granddaughter, she listens to her all the time. Says she’s gone to a big party or somethin’. Maybe that’s why the game was so crazy. I don’t know. She was not in the game. That’s for sure. Just them football players runnin’ around like crazy.
I heard them say somethin’ about the Browns and the Panthers. I think one of them is a team, maybe two. They play against that Kansas City. And the Chargers too, they was playin’. It’s all too much for me to remember. They got all these teams playin’ at the same time. The TV, it’s always showin’ this game and that game. I like it better when they was just playin’ one at a time. Now, every day there’s football on. My grandson, he loves it. Me? I’d rather watch my stories, but he controls that TV.
That Mahomes fella, he’s the one they like, I think. He’s on that Kansas City team. They said something about the Super Bowl. That’s some big game they have. That’s when everyone watches, even folks who don’t care about football. They have that big party, with all the food and such. I remember one time we made that seven-layer dip. Lord, that was good. I might have to make that again this year for the Super Bowl game. That Kansas City Chiefs game, maybe they’ll be in it. Maybe they win or lose, I don’t know.
I do know, that defense, they gotta be better. They let the other team score too much. I heard them sayin’ that on the TV. They said the Kansas City Chiefs’ defense was not good. Then they said it was good. One minute they say one thing, next minute they say another. I think they just like to hear themselves talk. They was sayin’ they won by two somethings, I don’t know what. I think it’s a score thing. A two-score win. Maybe that is good.

That Kansas City, they in control of that game now, they say. I don’t know about that. It’s a long time to play. Anything can happen. They were talkin’ about some fella named Hopkins. They say he got nine yards. I don’t know what that means, but it sounded good. I don’t know what a yard is in football. Maybe it is far, maybe it is close. But if they say it’s good, then it’s good. They said he put them Chiefs up. That’s good, I reckon. They got more points, so that’s good. That means they winnin’. But I tell ya, that score, it can change in a heartbeat.
They play that team in Buffalo too. The Bills, I think they called ’em. They got all these names for these teams. It’s hard to keep ’em all straight. It is hard to remember. But that Kansas City Chiefs game, that’s the one everyone talks about. They say there’s gonna be some runnin’ commentary. I don’t know what that means, but it sounds important. They just keep talkin’ and talkin’. They talk more than they play. They said they was gonna have some stats. I guess that’s all them numbers and things. I don’t know. It’s all too much for me.
Well, I gotta go. My stories are comin’ on. But that Kansas City game, it sure is somethin’. I just hope they win. That grandson of mine, he gets so upset when they lose. He yells and hollers. It’s best for everyone if that Kansas City Chiefs team just wins. I just want some peace and quiet. It is too noisy when they lose. But if they win, then he is happy. And I can watch my shows. So I hope that score is good for Kansas City.
