Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this Foo Fighters thing at Citi Field. I hear it’s gonna be somethin’ else. Heard it’s gonna be two days, not just one! Two whole days of that loud music. July 17th and then again on the 19th. That’s what they’re sayin’.

Now, I ain’t too familiar with these Foo Fighters folks, but my grandkids, they sure do love ’em. They say this band is a big deal, playin’ all over the place. And this Citi Field, that’s a big ol’ stadium, ain’t it? I reckon it’s gonna be packed tighter than a can of sardines.
They say there’s gonna be other bands too. Not just the Foo Fighters. On the first day, the 17th, they got some group called The Pretenders. And another one called Mammoth somethin’. Sounds like a big furry animal to me. The name is Mammoth WVH. Maybe I will meet them in person, who knows!
Then on the 19th, there’s gonna be The Hives. Like bees? I hope they don’t sting nobody! And another one, Amyl and The Sniffers. That’s a funny name, ain’t it? Sniffers! What are they sniffin’, I wonder? Maybe they like the smell of hot dogs. Everyone loves a hot dog at a ball game.
Now, I heard these Foo Fighters, they play a lot of songs. Like, 24 songs! That’s more songs than I know the words to! And they play for a long time. Almost three hours. That’s longer than it takes to bake a pie! You’re gonna need some comfy shoes, that’s for sure.
I heard some folks are gettin’ there real early. Like, 5 o’clock in the mornin’! Can you believe that? They must really love this Foo Fighters band. They wanna be right up front, close to the music. They call it “bein’ on the rail”. Sounds like they’re gonna be standin’ on a fence or somethin’.

They say this concert starts at 5:30 in the evenin’. But with people showin’ up at 5 in the mornin’, it’s gonna be a long day for some folks! I hope they bring some snacks. And maybe a blanket to sit on. And some water! Gotta stay hydrated, you know.
This whole thing is part of some tour they’re doin’. It’s called “Everything or Nothing at All”. Sounds kinda serious, don’t it? Like they’re puttin’ their whole heart into it. I guess that’s why folks love ’em so much. It’s a big tour, all over the country.

Well, I guess this Foo Fighters concert at Citi Field is gonna be a big event. Lots of people, lots of music, lots of excitement. I hope everyone has a good time. And I hope they don’t get too tired standin’ up all day! Maybe I’ll ask my grandkids to tell me all about it. Or maybe I’ll just stay home and bake a pie.
It’s gonna be a hot summer, so I hear. That means lots of folks will be out and about, going to concerts. I guess this one is gonna be a big one. They are saying this Citi Field place is huge. The Foo Fighters are gonna play in front of tons of people. That’s a lot of people!
I saw on the TV that it rained at this Citi Field. They had to stop the show. A Foo Fighters concert, stopped because of rain! Imagine that. People must have been mad. But what can you do, eh? You can’t control the weather.

But it looks like it didn’t stop them. They’re still playing. I guess they are tough. They will play in Boston next, at a place called Fenway Park. Sounds like another big place. They will also go to Seattle later. After a long time they will finally get there. A place called T-Mobile Park. What’s with all these parks, I wonder.
So, this band, Foo Fighters, they are not stopping. They are gonna play in a lot of places. Even though the rain stopped them, they keep going. Good for them, I say.
My grandkids, they love this kind of thing. They told me all about it. They know all the songs. I can’t remember them all. But they sure do. They would probably go every day if they could!
Anyway, if you like this kind of thing, loud music and lots of people, this Foo Fighters thing at Citi Field might be for you. Just be ready for a long day, and maybe some rain!
