This bike, you see, they call it Street Triple R. Sounds fancy, huh? Well, it ain’t no tractor, that’s for sure. It’s one of them motorcycles, the kind that goes real fast. I seen some fellas talkin’ ’bout it, sayin’ it ain’t good for long trips. Like, you can’t go visitin’ your kin across the state on it. Maybe they’re right, maybe they’re not. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that, I just ride the thing.

This here Street Triple R, it’s got some get-up-and-go. It’s made by some company called Triumph. Don’t know where that is, probably over in Europe somewhere. They say it’s got a strong engine, somethin’ about 116 horsepowers. I don’t know what that means, but it sure sounds like a lot of horses! And it goes up to 12,000… somethin’. RPMs, they call it. Whatever that is, it sounds mighty fast. I guess it’s good for zoomin’ around. Faster than any horse I ever seen.
- This bike, it’s a 2012 model. Or at least that’s what I heard.
- It’s for ridin’ on the streets, not out in the fields.
- It looks kinda mean, like it’s ready to pounce.
- They say it’s got a 675cc engine. Sounds like a lotta ccs to me.
Now, they say this Street Triple R is good for turnin’. You can lean it way over when you’re goin’ around a bend. And it’s got plenty of power. Costs a pretty penny, though. Somethin’ like 695,000… somethin’s. Dollars, maybe? That’s more than I paid for my whole darn house! But I guess if you got the money, and you like goin’ fast, then this is the bike for you. I seen a young fella, not so good at ridin’, and he was keepin’ up with another fella on a different bike, an FZ-09, whatever that is. So I guess it depends on who’s doin’ the ridin’.
They keep updatin’ this Street Triple R thing, too. 2024, they say they changed the engine and the… transmission. That’s what they call it. Makes it shift gears real smooth, I reckon. Don’t need to pull that clutch thing as much. They call it “blippin’” the engine. Sounds funny, but I guess it works. Keeps the ride smooth, like butter. Makes it easier to go down a gear or two, without all that jerkin’ and buckin’. Keeps the clutch plates happy, too, whatever those are.
This here bike, it’s got all sorts of fancy stuff on it. They got somethin’ called “wheelie control.” Keeps you from flippin’ over backwards, I reckon. Except in that “Rider” mode, whatever that is. You can turn it off there. And then there’s somethin’ called “Track” mode. Lets the front wheel come up a little, when you’re really givin’ it the gas. I don’t know why you’d want to do that, but I guess some folks like it. Sounds dangerous to me.
They even got a quickshifter on it. Comes standard, they say. Means you can shift up and down without usin’ that clutch thingy. Just like that, you’re in a different gear. Pretty slick, I gotta say. This Street Triple R, it’s like somethin’ out of a movie. All these gadgets and gizmos. Back in my day, we just had a throttle and a brake. And you were lucky if the brakes worked!

I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout a ride out to Long Island. Must be a nice place. I ain’t never been, but maybe one day I’ll take this Street Triple R out there and see for myself. It is a good bike for riding around.
So, this Street Triple R, it’s a fast bike. It’s a fancy bike. It’s a bike for folks who like to go zoomin’ around and showin’ off. It ain’t for me, really. I’m more of a slow-and-steady kinda gal. But I can see why some folks like it. It’s got a lot of power, it handles good, and it’s got all them fancy gadgets. If you got the money, and you’re lookin’ for a thrill, then maybe this is the bike for you. Just be careful out there, and don’t go too fast. The road ain’t a racetrack, you know. Well, that’s all I gotta say about this here Street Triple R. It’s a fine machine, I reckon. Just not my cup of tea. And remember, always be careful on the road, whether you’re on a bike or in a car.
