This here BMW K1300R, that’s one heck of a bike, I tell ya. Seen it in that movie, you know the one with that fella doin’ all them stunts. Looked real fancy, all black and shiny. They say it’s fast, faster than a scalded dog, that’s for sure.
Now, I don’t know much about these newfangled machines, but folks are always talkin’ ’bout ’em. They say this BMW K1300R, it’s got somethin’ called a “1293 cc engine.” What in tarnation is a cc, I don’t know. Sounds like some kinda space talk. But they say it’s powerful, real powerful. Like, 173bhp. Again, what’s a bhp? More space talk, I reckon. Whatever it is, makes the bike go real fast, they say.
You see ’em all over these days, these BMW motorcycles. Even in New York, they got ’em. I heard some cost like, $4,150. That’s a lot of money for a motorcycle, ain’t it? But then you got some that are $6,299. And get this, some are even $8. Like that BMW K 1300 S. What’s the difference between a K1300R and a K1300S? Beats me. They all look the same to these old eyes, just a bunch of metal and wheels.

My neighbor, he’s got one of them BMW K Sportbike motorcycles. He’s always showin’ it off. Says he found it on somethin’ called “Cycle Trader.” What’s that, some kinda newspaper for bikes? Heard there are a bunch of them for sale, like 44 or somethin’. Some are new, some are used. And the prices, Lord have mercy, they go from $3,200 all the way up to $33. Imagine that, $33 for a motorcycle! That’s more than my whole darn retirement!
Folks buy and sell these things all the time. They got this thing called “MCN’s bikes for sale.” Sounds complicated. Why can’t they just put an ad in the paper like we used to? And this other one, “TheBikeMarket.” Sounds like a grocery store, but for bikes, I guess. They got all kinds of BMW K1300R bikes for sale there, they say. From 2009 to 2015, whatever that means. Guess that’s when they were made, like eggs in a nest. They got pictures and prices and all sorts of things that go right over my head.
If you want to buy a motorcycle BMW k1300 r, then you gotta go to this “Car Classic” place, apparently. Some say it’s in Europe. That is far. They say it’s got the biggest collection of these “classics.” What’s a classic? Just means old, I reckon. Like me! This whole thing is like tryin’ to teach a pig to sing, I swear. But they say it is very good and strong bike.
They say this BMW K1300R, it can go from nothin’ to 100km/h in like 2.8 seconds. Now, I don’t know what a km/h is, but that sounds mighty fast. Faster than my old mule, Bessie, that’s for sure. They say it’s in a different league, like them “ultra-supercars.” Sounds like somethin’ from a comic book. And the engine, some folks say it could be smoother. What’s that mean, like butter? Don’t make no sense. But what about its price? People say that it is good motorcycle. But also expensive.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy motorcycles. We had horses. And if you were lucky, maybe an old jalopy. But these kids today, they want the fastest, shiniest thing on two wheels. And this BMW K1300R, well, it seems to fit the bill. Just don’t ask me to explain how it works. I’m just an old lady, I don’t know nothin’ ’bout these newfangled contraptions.
But I’ll tell ya what, if I had the money, maybe I’d get me one of these BMW K1300R bikes. Might be fun to ride around town, scarin’ the chickens and whatnot. Might even give that young whippersnapper next door a run for his money. Yeah, that would be somethin’.
