Sounds like a whole lotta somethin’ going on under that seat. They say it puts out 62 hp. Horsepower, that’s what they call it. Like how many horses it’s equal to, I reckon. And it’s got a peak force at 8,500 rpm, and 54 Nm torque. Don’t ask me what that is. Just a lot of numbers, I guess.

It’s got six gears, this xj 600. A six-speed manual transmission, they call it. With a wet multi-disc clutch and a final chain drive. Sounds complicated. All I know is it goes fast. How fast? Well, they say it can go up to 205 kph, or 127 mph. That’s faster than anything we had back in the day, I can tell you that much!

They say it can go about 117 mph, this Yamaha XJ600 Diversion. That’s what they call it, a Diversion. Sounds like it could take you on a real adventure. And this horsepower thing, about 61 bhp. Whatever that means, it sounds like a lot. And the weight, well, they say it’s heavy. But not too heavy, I suppose.
Back in 1984, they say it was faster than any other 550 on the road. Imagine that! This Yamaha xj 600, it’s been around for a while, it seems. They started making it in 1984, or so they tell me. And they kept making it for years. This particular one is from 1991.
And this one, from 1990, they say it’s got a sport bike look. And an 849 cc engine, whatever that is. Big, I guess. They say it can go up to 159 mph, or was it 117? Well, you need to know that it’s fast. Real fast. A V-twin engine, 849 cc. Sounds fancy, don’t it? And pictures, they got pictures of it, too. All shiny and new-looking.
