That Denver team, they got this fella, Jokic, or somethin’ like that. Big guy, they say. He can really play, I guess. Scores a lot of points, that’s what they tell me. Like 26 points, every time! He must be somethin’ special. And that Brunson on the Knicks, he is good too, 27.6 points, that is also a big number.
And these Knicks, they’re from New York. Big city, lots of hustle and bustle. Not like here, where it’s quiet and peaceful. They got their own star player, I reckon. Gotta have someone to keep up with that Jokic fella, right?

This game, it’s gonna be in Denver, at the Ball Arena. Sounds fancy, don’t it? We just got the community center here. But I bet it’s a big place, lots of seats, lots of folks yelling and hollerin’.
When Is the Game?
Now, when is this game, you ask? Well, I heard it’s on a Thursday. And some said it will be on a Tuesday. But I think the game time is 9 p.m. That’s what I heard. Nine o’clock, that’s when you wanna turn on your TV if you wanna see these two teams go at it.
They played before, you know. These two teams. Went back and forth, they say. Sounds like a real nail-biter. I don’t watch much basketball myself, but I hear about it from the neighbors. They get all excited about these games.
This Denver team, they even won some big championship last year. In 2023, I heard! Must be pretty good to do that. That’s what everyone is talking about. They say the new season will start at late October and will go until April.
Who is Gonna Win?
Who’s gonna win? Oh, honey, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? I don’t know. If I did, I’d be down at the betting parlor, making a fortune! But I reckon it’ll be a close one. These two teams, they both seem pretty strong. And both got good players.
You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all these fancy games on TV. We had to listen to it on the radio! Can you imagine? But it was still exciting. We’d all gather around and listen to the announcer, and we’d cheer and holler just like they do now at those big arenas.

I remember one time, my cousin, bless his heart, he was so into the game, he jumped up and knocked over the whole darn snack table! We had chips and dip everywhere. Oh, it was a mess. But we were all laughing so hard, we didn’t even care.
So, you enjoy that game, honey. And you tell me who wins, alright? I’ll be here, maybe knitting or doing a puzzle. But I’ll be thinking about those fellas, running up and down the court, trying to get that ball in the hoop. It’s a tough job, I reckon. But they seem to like it.
