Man, getting tickets for the Dodger Stadium rally was a whole thing. I really wanted to go, so I marked my calendar for October 31, 2024, ’cause that’s when I heard the tickets were going on sale on the Dodgers’ official website. They said we could enter the stadium at 9 a.m., but the parking gates would open at 8:30 a.m. So I set my alarm early that day.

When the day rolled around, I jumped on the Dodgers’ website right when the tickets went live. I heard the parade route was only going to be about 1.2 miles long, and the whole event would only last about 45 minutes.
- First, I checked out the parade route. It was supposed to start at City Hall, go south on Spring Street, then west on First Street, south on Grand Avenue, and finally west on Fifth Street, ending near Fifth and Flower.
- Then, I started looking at the ticket prices. I saw some folks online saying that regular game tickets against the Braves could be as low as $23. But I figured this was a special event, so the prices might be different.
- I also remember reading somewhere that the prices can change depending on who they’re playing against, if there’s a stadium giveaway, and if it’s a weekday or weekend game.
Anyway, I finally got through the website and snagged my tickets. Phew! But then came the next challenge: getting there.
I saw that the city officials were telling everyone to take the Metro to get to the parade route in downtown LA. That made sense, ’cause parking would probably be a nightmare.
Also, it seemed like they wouldn’t let anyone into the parking lots without an event ticket. So, taking public transportation was the way to go.
In the end, it all worked out. I got my tickets, figured out the transportation, and had an awesome time at the rally! Go Dodgers!
