Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with motorcycles for a while now, and I recently got my hands on a BMW G650 X. I gotta say, it’s been a pretty interesting experience so far, I felt like I had to share it with everyone.

First off, finding this bike was a bit of a journey. It’s not exactly the newest model, you know? So I spent a good chunk of time scouring online, checking out sites like “the parking motorcycles” and “AutoScout24”, and even “Car Classic” where they have all sorts of classic bikes.
I saw a bunch of different versions. There’s the Xchallenge, which seems like the more off-road type, the Xmoto, which looks like a street bike, and the Xcountry, which I guess is somewhere in between. They had a lot of them, like 48 Xchallenges, 84 Xmotos and 133 Xcountry just on one of the sites. I spent days just browsing through all the listings. Eventually, I found a used Xcountry that looked like it was in decent shape and the price was right.
Once I got the bike, the first thing I did was give it a good once-over. Checked the oil, tires, brakes, all that basic stuff. It seemed like it was well-maintained, which was a relief. Then, I took it out for a spin.

Riding it around town was a blast. It’s a pretty light bike, so it’s easy to handle. Zipping through traffic and taking corners felt really good.

Next, I wanted to see how it handled off-road. I found a dirt trail nearby and gave it a go. It did better than I expected! It wasn’t as smooth as a dedicated dirt bike, of course, but it held its own. I even managed to get it up some pretty steep hills.
I’ve been riding it for a few weeks now, and I’m still discovering new things about it. I took it apart a little and found it quite easy to assemble and disassemble, which was great. I’ve been tweaking a few things here and there, trying to get it dialed in just how I like it. It’s been a fun project, and I’m really enjoying the process.
It is a used bike, after all, so there are a few things I want to fix up. Nothing major, just some minor stuff to make it run even better. Overall, I’m really happy with this BMW G650 X. It’s a fun, versatile bike that’s been a joy to ride and work on.
The whole experience has been pretty rewarding.
I learned a lot about the bike, and I got to get my hands dirty, which I always enjoy. Plus, I’ve got a sweet new ride out of it. If you’re looking for a used bike that can handle both the street and some light off-roading, I’d definitely recommend checking out the BMW G650 X series. Just be prepared to do some searching to find a good one!
