Alright, alright, let me tell ya somethin’ about these digital ballparks. My grandkids, they’re always yappin’ about ’em. Said it’s like watchin’ the game on your phone, but, you know, fancy.

So, this thing, they call it the “Ballpark app.” You get your tickets on it, see where your seats are, all that jazz. No more fussin’ with paper tickets, losin’ ’em in your purse. Kids these days, they got it easy. You can even send tickets to your friends, right there on the phone. Ain’t that somethin’?
- Easy tickets, right on your phone.
- Send ’em to your friends, no fuss.
- See the ballpark map, where you’re sittin’.
Now, they tell me you can watch the games on this thing too. But it ain’t like regular TV. It’s all… 3D, they say. Like you’re right there, but not really. I dunno, sounds kinda silly to me. Why not just go to the real game, feel the sun on your face, smell the hot dogs? But these kids, they like it, staring at their screens all day.
Used to be, ballparks were all different shapes and sizes. Built right into the streets, you know? Had character. Now, they build ’em all fancy, everything planned out. Probably cost a fortune. But that ain’t what I’m talkin’ about here.
This Ballpark app, it keeps track of all the games you go to. Like a scrapbook, but on your phone. My grandma, she kept everything in a shoebox. Letters, pictures, old tickets. Now it’s all digital. Times are changin’, I tell ya. You can look back and remember all the games you seen, all the fun you had.
See all your game history, right on the app.

They say these digital ballparks are a first for sports. All fancy and new. Guess it’s good for folks who can’t make it to the real game. But me, I like the real thing. The roar of the crowd, the smell of the grass, the crack of the bat. You can’t get that on a phone.
They got these pictures, too. Lots of ’em. Show you all the different ballparks. Pages and pages. You can click on ’em and see more. Good for wastin’ time, I suppose. But I’d rather see the real thing with my own eyes. Remember that Jaycee Ballpark in Plainview? And Cheney Stadium in Tacoma? Good times.
So, that’s the deal with these digital ballparks. Fancy stuff, for the young folks. Tickets, maps, 3D games, pictures. All on your phone. Me, I’ll stick with the real thing. But if you like that digital stuff, go ahead. Knock yourself out.
