Oh boy, where do I even begin with this Rexy Porsche project? It all started a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon some cool info about this race car. I saw that No. 77 Porsche 911 GT3 Rawr, nicknamed “Rexy,” driven by Sebastian Priaulx and Laurin Heinrich. They won the GTD PRO class and became the championship points leaders! I was immediately hooked. I mean, who wouldn’t be? A car named Rexy, dominating the track? That is cool!

Then I started digging deeper into Porsches in general. Did you know that the Boxster is considered the “poor man’s Porsche”? I found it on Urban Dictionary. It’s actually been pretty affordable, compared to other Porsches since it came out in 1997. But let’s be real, Porsches are awesome cars that hold their value really well. The classic and limited edition models, they are the real gold mines.
And guess what? The most wanted Porsche ever is the 967/1968 Porsche 911R. They only made 19 of these bad boys. I mean, I read, it’s a 2.0-liter, lightweight beauty. I wish I could get my hands on one, but I am pretty sure that is not going to happen. Anyway, this whole thing got me thinking, why not try to get a piece of this action, even if it is just a tiny piece?
My Hot Wheels Adventure
So, I went down the rabbit hole of Hot Wheels. Yes, Hot Wheels! I found this Hot Wheels 1:64 Premium Race Day REXY Porsche 911 GT3 R (992). It’s green, it’s got that Car Culture – Race series vibe, and it just screams “Rexy.” I spent hours looking for the best deal, comparing offers. You would not believe the stuff I saw. There are people out there selling all kinds of items, and the Porsche stuff is crazy popular. It was a wild ride just browsing through these listings.
I finally found a seller with a brand-new, unopened Rexy Hot Wheels. The item was perfect. I ordered it immediately, I was so excited! While I was waiting, I even found a skin for the Porsche 992 GT3 R in a racing game, made by the AO Racing Team. I mean the fans are so into it! I just kept it in my mind.
When the package arrived, it was like Christmas morning. I carefully opened it up, and there it was, my very own Rexy Porsche, in miniature form. I am planning to keep it safe and sound in my collection. But it does not stop there. I took it a step further. I saw some people comparing local Porsche dealers online, trying to find the best deals for new cars. They even had tools to configure your dream car, and get the best price. It got me thinking, maybe one day I will get a real Porsche, or at least, this is my dream now.

This whole Rexy adventure has been a blast. It started with a cool race car story, took me through the world of collectible Hot Wheels, and even got me dreaming about owning a real Porsche. I am happy for what I achieved now. Who knows where this journey will take me next? But one thing is for sure, I will keep my eyes peeled for anything related to Rexy and Porsches. It is my passion now!
