Okay, so, I wanted to catch the Texans game today. I’m not a die-hard fan or anything, but I figured I’d check out the score and see how they were doing. You know, just a casual fan thing.

First things first, I grabbed my phone and started looking around. I didn’t have any specific sports apps installed, so I just used my browser. I typed in something like “Houston Texans game score” into the search bar and, you know, just waited for the results to pop up.
There were a few options, but I saw a few names I recognized, like ESPN and Flashscore. I’ve definitely heard of them before, so I figured they were pretty reliable. I tapped on the ESPN link first, just because I’ve used it before.
- Tapped on the ESPN result. It was pretty straightforward. They had the live scores right there, so that was convenient. I could see who the Texans were playing and what the current score was.
- Checked out Flashscore too. Just to see if it was any different, I also checked out the Flashscore page. It had similar info, the score, the schedule, and all that stuff.
From what I saw, it looked like the Texans were playing against the Indianapolis Colts. I think I saw something about it being the first game of the NFL season for them. The results also mentioned that the Texans won the AFC South last year, so I guess they’re doing pretty well! I also recall reading that they beat the Los Angeles Chargers in the first game of the NFL wild-card weekend, so that’s cool.
I didn’t stick around too long to watch any highlights or anything. I saw that ESPN had some video stuff, but I just wanted a quick update on the score. It was cool to see they were doing well, though.
After getting my quick score update, I moved on with my day. It wasn’t a deep dive into the world of football or anything, but it was a nice little moment to check in and see how the Texans were doing. Maybe I’ll catch a full game sometime, but for now, a quick score check was all I needed.

It’s a simple process, really. Just a few taps on my phone, and I was in the know. Technology’s pretty great for that sort of thing, right? You don’t have to go searching for scores in the newspaper anymore. It’s all right there in your pocket.
Just a quick share of my experience.
Nothing too fancy, but that’s how I got my Texans score update today.
