Well, well, well, look at this. Argentina and Ajax, you say? That’s a thing now, huh? Sounds fancy, but I tell ya, it’s all about that football. My old eyes have seen a lot of things, and this is one of them. These young fellas running around, kicking that ball. It’s a sight, I tell ya. Argentina Ajax, it’s all over the place these days.

So, these Argentina boys, they sure love their football. It’s like a religion to them, or something. They’re always kicking that ball around. And this Ajax, that’s some team in, uh, Amsterdam. Fancy place, Amsterdam. Never been there myself. Too many canals and not enough chickens, I reckon. But they got this football team, Ajax, and it’s a big deal. Big deal, indeed. They’ve been around since, when was it? 1900, I think they said. That’s older than my old boots! They named it after some Greek fella, a hero or somethin’. Fought in a war, a long time ago. This whole Argentina Ajax thing is because some of those Argentina players play for Ajax now.
They got this one fella, Tagliafico, I think his name is. He’s from Argentina, plays for Ajax. Good player, they say. Runs like the wind, that one. Then there’s a couple more. Magallan, Martinez, those are the names I heard. These Argentina boys, they’re all over the place. Playing for Ajax, playing for their own country. Keeps ’em busy, I suppose. Keeps ’em outta trouble. Unless they get into trouble on the field, haha! That happens too, I’ve seen it. Red cards, yellow cards… all sorts of cards.
This Ajax team, they got a picture for their, what do you call it? Their logo. Yeah, their logo. It’s that Greek hero fella again. They changed it a few times. Now it’s all lines and squiggles. Eleven lines, they say. Don’t make much sense to me, but hey, what do I know? I’m just an old lady who likes to watch the game. But I know about this Argentina Ajax connection now, that’s for sure.
Football in Argentina is like, well, it’s like air to them. They breathe it, they live it. They got that Primera Division, their big league. Lots of teams, lots of shouting. I hear them on the TV sometimes, all the way from over there. Sounds like a party. A very loud, football-loving party. And now, some of those party animals are playing for Ajax. Argentina Ajax, it’s a mix-up, a melting pot, like that stew I make with whatever’s left in the garden.
You know, back in my day, we didn’t have all this fancy stuff. We just kicked a ball around in the field. Didn’t matter what team you were on. Just as long as you could kick. These days, it is a big business, all these Argentina players going to play for Ajax. Lots of money involved, I bet. More money than I’ve ever seen in my whole life. And they are famous, too! Names all over the papers and all over the internet, that thing my grandson is always looking at. Argentina Ajax, it is a big headline.

Here’s a little list of things I heard about this whole Argentina Ajax thing:
- That Tagliafico fella, he’s been playing for Ajax for a while now. Four years, maybe?
- There’s another one, Avila, he just joined Ajax. From Belgium, I think.
- Football in Argentina is a big, big deal. Bigger than anything.
- This Ajax team, they were founded way back in 1900. In Amsterdam.
- Lots of folks from Argentina love football, it is like a big party over there.
This whole thing, it’s got folks talking. Argentina Ajax this, Argentina Ajax that. It’s all over the place. Even I know about it, and I don’t even know how to use that internet thingy properly. But one thing’s for sure, those Argentina boys, they sure know how to play that football. And this Ajax team, they seem to know how to pick ’em.
I remember when that big game was on, that World Cup thing. Everyone was glued to the TV. Shouting and hollering. Argentina was playing, and they were good. Real good. I do not remember who they were playing against, though. It was exciting, though! Lots of folks from Argentina were there, in the stands. Waving their flags and singing their songs. That is what football does to people, I suppose. It is like that here, too, just not as much singing, maybe. But that Argentina Ajax connection got people talking even more after that game, I reckon.
Well, there you have it. That’s all I know about this Argentina Ajax business. It’s a football thing, that’s for sure. A big football thing. With lots of running and kicking and shouting. And those Argentina boys, they’re right in the middle of it. Playing for Ajax, making a name for themselves. Good for them, I say. Good for them. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I need a cup of tea and a good sit-down. All this talk about running around has made me tired!
