Okay, so, I’ve been messing around with this idea of figuring out the starting lineup for Arsenal. It’s been kind of a fun little project, and I thought I’d share my process and what I’ve come up with.

First off, I started by looking at some recent matches. You know, just to get a feel for who’s been playing and who’s been doing well. I watched a couple of games and started to see some patterns in how the team was set up.
Then, I started digging into player stats. Nothing too fancy, just goals, assists, and minutes played. I figured these would give me a decent idea of who the key players are. I made a little list of the players who seemed to be performing consistently.
After that, I started thinking about formations. Arsenal, you know, they switch things up sometimes. But I felt like the 4-3-3 formation was a good starting point. It seemed like the most common one, and I had some players in mind that fit well into that setup.
Now came the fun part – putting the pieces together. For the goalkeeper, I went with Raya. Seems like a solid choice based on recent games. Then, for the defense, I thought Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, and Calafiori would make a strong backline. They’ve all had some good showings, and I think they could work well together.
Moving into midfield, Odegaard was a no-brainer. He’s been amazing, so obviously, I picked him. Alongside him, I chose Jorginho and Rice. I think they can provide a good balance of creativity and defensive stability.

Up front, I went with Saka, Havertz, and Trossard. These guys have been scoring goals and creating chances, so they seemed like the obvious choices to lead the attack.
Of course, I had to think about substitutes too. Can’t forget about them. So, I picked Neto as the backup keeper and Zinchenko as a defensive option off the bench. It’s always good to have options, right?
My Predicted Arsenal Starting Lineup (4-3-3)
- Goalkeeper: Raya
- Defenders: Timber, Saliba, Kiwior, Calafiori
- Midfielders: Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice
- Forwards: Saka, Havertz, Trossard
Predicted Substitutes
- Neto (GK)
- Zinchenko (DEF)
So, that’s my prediction for the Arsenal starting lineup. It was a fun little exercise, and I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It’s just my guess, of course, but I think it’s a pretty solid lineup based on what I’ve seen and researched. What do you guys think?
