Alright, so I gotta share my experience figuring out the “best team for every weekly.” It’s a wild ride, let me tell you.

First off, I started digging into this whole thing, trying to find some sort of magic formula. I scoured through a bunch of websites, you know, the usual spots where folks talk about their strategies and stuff. I even stumbled upon this one site, Fantasy Football Hub, that has this AI thingy – “My Team AI.” They claim it can build the “optimal squad.” Sounded pretty fancy, so I decided to give it a whirl. Seven day free trial and all that.
Then I moved on to looking at individual players. This Alexander Isak guy from Newcastle seemed like a solid pick, especially since they were playing at home against Bournemouth. Another player, Chris Wood, from Nottingham Forest, also caught my eye, but I wasn’t sure who to take for my team.
I spent hours, and I mean hours, reading through blogs and articles. One blog talked about the best team selections for the first five Gameweeks, based on some “Player Points Projections.” Seemed kinda complicated, but I tried to wrap my head around it. I mean, who wouldn’t want to maximize their points, right?
Next, I checked out a site called Sports Mole. They were talking about their “Premier League Team of the Week” for Gameweek 22, mentioning players like Phil Foden, Amad Diallo, and Gabriel Magalhaes. I jotted down their names, thinking they might be worth considering. Also, I noticed that Newcastle had a home game against Wolverhampton Wanderers, which made me reconsider Alexander Isak and some other Newcastle players.
After all that digging, I finally started building my team. It was a lot of trial and error, swapping players in and out, trying to find the right balance. To be honest, I still don’t know if I’ve cracked the code. It felt like I was chasing my tail most of the time. But hey, it was a fun experiment, and I learned a thing or two along the way.

Here is my team list I finally decided.
- Goalkeeper: Pickford
- Defenders: Trippier, Walker, Gabriel
- Midfielders: Salah, Foden, Palmer, Saka, Jota
- Forwards: Isak, Haaland
And I have to say, it was a bit of a mess, but a fun mess. I’m still not sure if there’s a “best” team, to be honest. Maybe it’s more about going with your gut and hoping for the best. And maybe enjoying a free trial or two along the way. It is a free trial after all.
