Okay, so, the Wild Card Weekend, right? I got really into figuring out the spreads, and let me tell you, it was a wild ride.

I started by just looking at all the matchups. I mean, you gotta know who’s playing who before you can even think about the numbers. So I pulled up the schedule and jotted down all the games.
Then, I dove into the spreads. Basically, I wanted to see what the oddsmakers were thinking. You know, who’s favored, who’s the underdog, and by how much. I checked out a few different places to get a good sense of the lines.
Initial Thoughts
After getting all that info, I started forming some initial thoughts. Some of the spreads seemed pretty obvious, like the big favorites. But others, man, they were tough. A couple of points here or there can really make you scratch your head.
I decided to dig deeper. I looked at recent team performance. How have they been playing the last few weeks? Are they on a hot streak, or are they struggling? That kind of stuff.
- Checked recent win/loss records.
- Noted any winning or losing streaks.
- Compared scores from the last few games.
Next up, injuries. This is HUGE. Is a star player out? Is someone playing hurt? That can totally change the game. So I scoured the injury reports, making notes of anything that seemed significant.

Then I thought about head-to-head matchups. Have these teams played each other recently? How did those games go? Sometimes, one team just has another team’s number, you know?
And of course, I considered home-field advantage. Playing at home can be a big boost. So I factored that in as well.
Finally, after all that, I started to feel like I had a pretty good handle on these games. I made my own picks, based on the spreads and all the info I had gathered.
It was a lot of work, but honestly, it was fun. I love diving into the numbers and trying to figure out what’s going to happen. And hey, even if my picks are wrong, at least I had a good time doing it!
