Hey folks, so I’ve been messing around with this “Brian Harman scorecard” thing, and let me tell you, it’s been a bit of a ride. I mean, who’s Brian Harman anyway, right? Turns out, he’s some hotshot golfer who’s been doing pretty well for himself. Anyway, I wanted to see what all the fuss was about, so I started digging into his recent games.

First, I had to find out where this guy’s been playing. Seems like he’s been hitting up all the big tournaments, you know, The Sentry, Sony Open, ATT Pebble Beach, and so on. I pulled up a bunch of websites, mainly just looking for his scores, it was a real mess, honestly.
Then, I started copying down his scores for each tournament. It’s all numbers, like -12, +1, +7. I guess lower is better in golf? He seems to be good though, he has a lot of minus numbers. I even saw some notes about his driving distance – around 291.9 yards average, which sounds far to me. Also, some “Strokes Gained: Putting” thing, which is apparently 3.133 on average. No clue what that really means, but it’s probably good if it’s a positive number?
- Spent hours on golf sites I’d never heard of before.
- Copied a ton of numbers into a spreadsheet.
- Realized I have no idea how golf scoring works.
I also tried to figure out how he’s done at this “Masters Tournament” place. Apparently, he’s been there four times, averaging around 28th place, with a score of +1. Last year he got a +7 and didn’t even make the “cut” – whatever that is. Sounds kind of harsh if you ask me. He is an American, and he has won three tournaments, I learned that much.
Anyway, I dumped all this info into a spreadsheet, and now I have this massive scorecard thingy. It’s got all his scores from different rounds, with each hole’s score and everything. Organizing it was a pain, especially with how golf scoring seems to be. The guy won by six shots in 2023, I think. I guess that’s a big deal, a “major title” they called it.
My Takeaway
After all this, I’ve learned that Brian Harman is probably a pretty decent golfer. Also, I realize that golf scoring is way more complicated than I thought. And, spending hours on this made me think maybe I should take up a new hobby. But hey, at least now I can say I’ve created a Brian Harman scorecard, even if I don’t fully understand it.

So yeah, that’s my adventure with the Brian Harman scorecard. Not sure what I’ll do with all this data, but it was definitely an experience. Maybe I’ll actually watch some golf one of these days, who knows!
