Alright, so I was messing around trying to find some cool old-school basketball info, specifically about the Milwaukee Bucks and the Washington Wizards players from way back in 1970. Let me tell you, it was a trip down memory lane!

First, I hit up the usual spots like Google. No surprises there. But you know how it is – you gotta sift through a bunch of random stuff before you find anything useful. I found a few interesting things like the names of players, but I needed more.
Next, I tried to find stuff like flashcards, which I thought might have some quick facts. I found this site, Quizlet, and started looking through their flashcards. I typed in a few keywords, hoping to get lucky. There were some interesting flashcards about personality traits and stuff – not what I needed, but kind of a fun detour. Like, did you know they say your personality is made up of long-standing traits that make you think and feel a certain way? Wild, right?
Then I remembered there might be some fan forums or maybe even some old blog posts about this. I spent a good chunk of time reading through old website, but it seemed to only have info on how to create your own website – “the all-in-one solution for anyone looking to create a beautiful website.” Not exactly what I was after, but hey, good to know, I guess.
After that, I figured, why not check out some academic resources? Maybe some university libraries have digitized archives or something. I started poking around on library websites, and the search engines they have. I found some tips on citing sources and using Zotero, which is like a tool to manage your research. They even had a guide on it. Definitely bookmarking that for later, in case I ever need to write a serious paper.
I did find some basic info about Ray Allen in my search, like his height and position. It wasn’t what I wanted, but it was something!

My Results
So, here’s what I found out:
- The Bucks were kind of a big deal back then. They had Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, who was a total beast, and Oscar Robertson, another legend.
- The Wizards, who were called the Bullets back then, had some cool players too. I read about Earl Monroe and Wes Unseld. I gotta find some old game footage of these guys.
Honestly, this whole search turned into a bit of a rabbit hole. I started out just wanting some basic info but ended up learning a bunch of random stuff. That’s the internet for you, right? You never know where you’ll end up.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this little trip back in time with me. Maybe next time, I’ll dig up some stats or stories about these players. Stay tuned!
