Alright, let’s talk about this here Buell XB12. You know, the one them fellas like to ride real fast.

Now, I ain’t no expert, but I hear things. People talk, you know? They say this Buell, she’s got some power. Lots of it. They talk about these numbers… like “1203cc”. Sounds big, don’t it? Means it can go real fast, I reckon. Like a scalded dog, probably.
Some folks compare it to the XB 9, says the 9 ain’t got the same oomph down low. You know, when you first twist that handle thingy. The 12, she just goes, they say. More “torque” they call it. Means it pulls hard, like a stubborn mule.
- They say it’s got, what, 103 “horsepower”? Sounds like a whole herd of horses to me! Must be strong as an ox.
- And that “torque” thing again, 114 of ‘em. More pullin’ power, I guess. Like haulin’ a wagon full of taters.
Now, some fellas, they race these things. On them tracks, you know, where they go round and round real fast. Buell made this Firebolt, they say, for that kinda racin’ but also for just ridin’ around town. Sounds like a lot for one machine, if you ask me. Makes you wonder if it’s worth the fuss.
But here’s the thing, I hear some grumbling too. About things breakin’. Bolts snappin’, belts too. And somethin’ about wires not workin’ right. “Electrical problems,” they call it. Sounds like a headache to me. And the “finish,” they say it ain’t so good neither. Means it ain’t put together so well, maybe?
Still, they say it handles good. Like it goes where you want it to go, smooth and easy. Whether it’s one of them naked bikes, where you see all the parts, or one with a little cover on the front, they both ride nice, so they say. Makes you feel like you’re in control, not fightin’ the thing all the time.

They also talk about this other bike, the XR. Says it’s similar to the XB, performance-wise, but it’s more, what’s the word… “pleasant”? And “reliable”. Means it don’t break down so much, I guess. And it’s easier to live with, maybe? Don’t shake you to pieces or somethin’.
This here Buell company, they say they fixed all them problems from the old bikes. But folks still complainin’, so who knows? Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t. Seems like everythin’ breaks down eventually, no matter how fancy it is.
I’ve also heard some folks say the smaller 9 engine, even after some tinkering, just doesn’t have the real get-up-and-go that the 12 has right out of the box. It’s like comparing a little pony to a big strong workhorse, see? The 12 just has that extra grunt that some riders are looking for. It’s all about what you want, I guess. Some folks like a smooth ride, others want to feel that power when they twist the throttle. The Buell XB12 seems to be for those power-hungry fellas.
So, this Buell XB12… it’s fast, it’s powerful, it handles good… but it might break down on ya. And maybe there’s better ones out there, like that XR. It’s a lot to think about, ain’t it? Makes a body dizzy. Me? I’ll stick to my old truck. At least I know how to fix that when it breaks down.
But if you’re one of them fellas who likes to go fast, and you don’t mind fixin’ things now and then, well, maybe this Buell XB12 is just the ticket for ya. Just don’t come cryin’ to me when somethin’ goes wrong. You been warned.

Remember to check your bolts and belts! And pray them wires don’t go haywire on ya. That’s all I gotta say about this Buell thingamajig.
