So, I wanted to get a heavy core, and I did some digging around the internet for some ideas. I saw a lot of mentions of different monitors, some stuff about parallel computing with “buildah bud” (whatever that is), and a bunch of other random things that didn’t really seem related. It was all a bit of a mess, honestly.

But I kept at it. I needed a way to get this core heavy, so first thing I started to think about was maybe adding more stuff to it. You know, like those weighted blankets that are supposed to help you sleep? I figured maybe I could do something similar. I gathered a bunch of heavy things from around the house – some old textbooks, a couple of bricks I found in the backyard, and even a few of those cast iron pans from the kitchen.
Then, I tried to put them all together. It was tough! I wrapped the core in an old sheet and started stacking the heavy stuff on top. It was kind of like building a weird, unstable tower. I tied it all up with some rope and hoped for the best. Did it work? Not really. It was just a big, heavy, awkward mess.
So, I went back to the drawing board. I thought maybe I should try to make the core itself heavier instead of just adding weight around it. I remembered seeing something about filling things with sand to make them heavier. I grabbed a bag of sand from the garage and tried to pour it into the core. That was a disaster! Sand went everywhere, and it barely made a difference in the weight.
I was starting to get frustrated. It felt like I was just going in circles. Then, I had a bit of a lightbulb moment. What if I used something denser than sand? I went online again, and that’s when I stumbled upon something about using lead shot for weighting things down. It sounded perfect! Heavy and compact.
I ordered some lead shot, and when it arrived, I carefully filled the core with it. It was so much easier than the sand, and it made a huge difference! The core was finally heavy, just like I wanted. I sealed it up, and it was good to go.

It was a journey, let me tell you. Lots of trial and error, some mess-ups along the way, but in the end, I figured it out. I took a whole bunch of random ideas, some useful, some not so much, and mashed them together until I got what I wanted. Now I’ve got a heavy core, and I’m pretty proud of myself for sticking with it!

What I used to make my core heavy:
It was a wild ride, but hey, that’s how you learn, right? Just gotta keep trying until you find something that works. And sometimes, the answer is just a bunch of lead shot away.
