Okay, so I’ve been messing around with making a calendar for 2023. Nothing fancy, just something I could use to keep track of my stuff.

First, I started by looking around online to see what kinds of calendar templates were out there. You know, just to get some ideas. There are tons of them, it’s kinda crazy. Some are super simple, some are all decked out with colors and designs. I found a few that I liked, mostly the ones that were pretty basic. I don’t need anything too flashy.
Then, I decided to try making my own. I opened up a Word document, ’cause that’s what I’m most comfortable with. I played around with the table feature, you know, making the grid for the days and weeks.
- I made sure to include all the US holidays.
- I left some space for notes each month, ’cause I like to jot down important stuff.
It took a little while to get it just how I wanted it. I changed the font a couple of times, adjusted the size of the boxes, that sort of thing. It wasn’t perfect, but it was good enough for me.
After I was done with the design, I saved it as a regular Word document and also as a PDF, ’cause that’s easier to print. Then I printed out a test copy to see how it looked in real life. It turned out pretty good! I made a few more tweaks after that, just some minor stuff.
Finally
I printed out the whole year, and now I have my own custom 2023 calendar. It’s nothing special, but it works for me. And it was kind of fun to make, to be honest. I might even make another one next year, but we’ll see.
