Alright, let’s talk about this… uh… CBR somethin’ somethin’, yeah, the 2009 one. My grandson, he’s crazy about these things, always showin’ me pictures and stuff. So, I figured, why not try and understand what the fuss is all about? Don’t expect no fancy words from me though, I just tell it like it is.

What’s this bike all about then?
Okay, so this CBR thingy, the 600RR, made in 2009. It’s a motorcycle, you know, one of them fast ones. They call it a “sport” motorcycle, whatever that means. Probably means it goes real fast. My grandson said that it got a “Four stroke” engine, four cylinders, and somethin’ called DOHC. Sounds complicated, but I guess it just means it’s got a good strong motor. It’s got 599 somethin’ somethin’ “cc”, that’s how they measure these things, I guess. Like how we measure flour for baking, only this measures how big the engine is.
What makes it go so fast?
- It’s got this thing called “Dual Stage Fuel Injection” or somethin’ like that, DSFI. Sounds fancy, but it just means it squirts gas into the engine real good, makes it burn better, go faster.
- It’s got a lot of “horsepower,” 118 of ‘em, they say. That’s like horses pullin’ the thing, only these horses are inside the engine, I reckon. And it revs up real high, to 13,500 somethin’ somethin’ – that’s how fast the engine spins. It’s like whipping eggs real fast, only much, much faster! My grandson says that it can even go up to 15,000 somethin’ before it redlines. That’s like a warning, I think, like when the oven gets too hot.
- It’s got somethin’ called “torque,” too. 66 of them “Nm” things. My grandson says that the torque is like the pushing power, how strong it pulls when you twist that handle thingy.
Is it safe?
Well, as safe as a fast motorcycle can be, I guess. They got these new brakes on it, “Tokico” somethin’ or other, four pistons. My grandson said that it means it can stop real quick, which is good, I suppose, when you’re goin’ so darn fast. Some of them have this ABS thing too. My grandson said that it helps keep the wheels from lockin’ up when you brake hard, so you don’t skid. Sounds like a good thing to have.

What else is special about it?
It’s got a bunch of other fancy things, like “traction control,” so the wheels don’t spin too much. And “wheelie control,” so you don’t pop up on one wheel and flip over. And somethin’ called “engine brake control,” whatever that does. My grandson also babbled about an “assist slipper clutch,” which probably helps you shift gears smooth or somethin’. It weighs around 410 pounds, which sounds heavy, but my grandson says it’s actually pretty light for a bike like this. I guess that helps it go fast too.
So, is it a good bike?
Well, I ain’t ever ridden one myself, you know, I’m too old for that foolishness. But from what my grandson says, and from what I can gather from all these numbers and fancy words, it seems like a pretty powerful and well-put-together machine. It’s fast, got good brakes, and a bunch of fancy stuff to keep you from killin’ yourself. If you’re into that kinda thing, I guess it’s a good one. Just be careful out there, you hear? These things ain’t toys, and the road ain’t always friendly. My grandson keeps showing me pictures of it, so it must be real pretty too. I told him that its better to have something that gets you from one place to another, but he don’t listen. He just keeps talking about the ‘09 CBR600RR and its performance. Kids these days, always in a hurry, always wanting the fastest, shiniest thing.
Why people like the 2009 CBR600RR?

Well, I reckon it’s a combination of things. It’s fast, that’s for sure. And it looks good, too, from what I’ve seen. My grandson said that it’s a looker and says that people call this bike reliable, which I guess means it don’t break down all the time, and that’s important. It’s got all them fancy features I talked about, and it seems like people who know about these things really respect it. It’s a Honda, too, and my grandson says that Honda makes good motorcycles. They’ve been making them for a long time, and I guess they know what they’re doin’. So, if you want a fast, reliable, and good-lookin’ motorcycle, the 2009 CBR600RR seems to fit the bill. But like I said, be careful out there. And don’t go blamin’ me if you get yourself into trouble. I’m just tellin’ you what I heard, that’s all.
