Alright, alright, lemme tell ya ’bout this fella, D Novak. I dunno much about fancy movie stars, ya know? But I heard some folks talkin’, and this name kept poppin’ up. So, I figured, why not gab a bit about it? Maybe you young’uns know more than this old woman, but I’ll tell ya what I heard.
Who’s this D Novak fella, anyway? Well, from what I gather, he’s one of them actors. You know, the kind that make-believe on the big screen. Seems like he’s been in a bunch of them picture shows, some you mighta seen, some maybe not.
- He was in somethin’ called “Unaccompanied Minors” back in ’06. Sounds like a bunch of kids runnin’ around without their folks. Probably a whole lotta trouble, just like my grandkids!
- Then there’s “Knocked Up” in ’07. Now that one, I heard some whispers about. Sounds like a young’un got herself in a family way, and things got all mixed up. Happens all the time, I tell ya.
- And “Reign Over Me” same year. Don’t ask me what it’s about. Probably some fancy city folk with their fancy problems.
Now, I ain’t seen none of these myself. I’m more of a “sit on the porch and watch the chickens” kinda gal. But these young’uns, they’re always glued to them screens. So, I guess D Novak must be somebody if he’s in all them movies.
Is he any good, this D Novak? Well, like I said, I ain’t no expert. But folks seem to like him. They say he’s funny, that he can make ya laugh ’til your belly hurts. And sometimes, they say, he can make ya cry, too. Guess that’s what makes a good actor, huh? Bein’ able to make ya feel all sorts of things.
Seems like he ain’t just doin’ movies, neither. He’s been on them TV shows, too. You know, the ones that come on every week, same time, same place. Folks get attached to them shows, like they’re part of the family. So, I guess that’s another way to get your face out there, become famous.
Why are we even talkin’ about D Novak? Well, I reckon it’s ’cause folks like to talk about famous people. They like to know what they’re doin’, who they’re marryin’, what kinda car they’re drivin’. It’s like a whole ‘nother world, far away from the farm and the chickens.
And maybe, just maybe, D Novak is one of them actors that sticks around. You know, the kind that folks remember for years and years. Like that fella, James Stewart, that was in that “Vertigo” picture with that Kim Novak gal. Now that was a movie, even I heard about it! Though I ain’t never seen it, mind you.
So, what’s the big deal about D Novak? I guess there ain’t no big deal, really. He’s just a fella, doin’ his job, makin’ movies, makin’ people laugh, makin’ people cry. And ain’t that what life’s all about, in a way? Findin’ somethin’ you’re good at, and doin’ it the best you can. Whether it’s farmin’ chickens or actin’ in picture shows, it’s all the same, I reckon.
Now, I gotta get back to feedin’ them chickens. But you young’uns, you keep on watchin’ them movies, keep on talkin’ about D Novak and all them other actors. It’s your world, after all. Just don’t forget to come visit your old grandma every now and then, ya hear?
And if you see D Novak on the TV, you tell him that old woman down on the farm, she heard about him. Maybe he’ll get a kick outta that. And that movie business, it always changes, new actors, new stories, I just heard about movie called “Boy Kills World”, it sounds rough, not for the faint of heart, they said it is kinda like “John Wick” met “The Hunger Games”. My, my, that’s lot of killin’ in one movie. Anyways, back to D Novak, he probably doing alright, making good money I guess. You young folk keep an eye out for him alright, maybe one day he will be as big as them other fellas, like that Harold Lloyd, he was real famous back in the day, making them silent pictures, can you imagine? No talking at all.
