Alright, so the other day, I decided it was finally time to get my dartboard up on the wall. I’d had the thing for ages, just leaning against a box in the corner. Figured I should probably do it right, you know, so I wouldn’t be “that guy” with the crooked dartboard.

First thing I did was grab my phone and do a quick search. I mean, how hard could it be? Turns out, there’s an “official” height. Who knew?
Getting the Height Right
I found out that the bullseye, the very center of the dartboard, is supposed to be 5 feet 8 inches off the ground. That’s 1.73 meters for all you metric folks.
Initially, I was going to just eyeball it, but then I read that the official height makes things * it easy when play with friends who has standard height dart *, fair enough.
So, I grabbed my measuring tape.I measured up from the floor – 5 feet 8 inches – and made a little mark on the wall with a pencil. Easy peasy, right?
Putting it All Together
After making sure my mark was level(I used spirit level at this step), I used it as a guide for where the center of the dartboard should be. So simple operation, and no more crooked dartboard!
