[Body]

Alright, let’s talk about this Dion Watkins fella. I don’t know much about him, but I heard he’s got some songs. Music, they say. Now, I ain’t no spring chicken, and I don’t understand all this newfangled music, but the young folks seem to like it. They’re always tappin’ their feet and hummin’ along.
They say you can listen to his songs on somethin’ called “Amazon Music Unlimited.” Sounds fancy, don’t it? Back in my day, we had a radio, and that was it. If you wanted music, you turned that knob and hoped for somethin’ good. Now, you got all these choices, and it’s all on that “mobile” thing, whatever that is. Kids are always starin’ at them little screens. Makes my head spin.
And then there’s somethin’ called “Spotify.” Another one of them music things. He’s got a song on there called “Frequency.” Just one song, they say. Well, I guess one is better than none. Back in my day, you had to go to the store and buy them big ol’ records. Now, it’s all just… in the air, I guess. Don’t make no sense to me, but then again, a lot of things don’t make sense these days.
- They say he’s got music on Amazon Music.
- They say he’s got a song called Frequency on Spotify.
- I don’t know what mobile or desktop is.
Now, I heard somethin’ else about this Dion Watkins. Seems like he’s mixed up with some kinda… police business? They talkin’ about a sheriff, a fella named Steve Kohne, and some cold case from way back in 1980. Murder, they say. Lord have mercy. I don’t know what Dion Watkins has to do with it, but it sounds serious. Hope he ain’t in no trouble.
This Kohne fella, he cracked the case in 2009, they say. Took him a long time, I guess. Cold cases, they call ’em. Means they been sittin’ around for a while, gettin’ dusty and forgotten. But not this one, apparently. And somehow, Dion Watkins’ name is mixed up in it. Makes you wonder, don’t it?

I tell you what, this world is a strange place. One minute you’re singin’ songs, the next you’re mixed up in some police investigation. You just never know what’s gonna happen. That’s why I always say, you gotta be careful. Keep your nose clean, and don’t go stirrin’ up no trouble. That’s the best way to live, I reckon.
And then there’s this talk about sharin’ videos. With friends and family, they say. I don’t know nothin’ about that. Back in my day, if you wanted to see somebody, you went and visited ’em. You sat on the porch and drank lemonade, and you talked. Now, it’s all about these videos and these… phones, I guess. Everything’s so fast now. Nobody takes the time to just… be. It’s always sharing or posting on internet or whatever that is. It is hard for old people like me.
But I guess that’s just the way things are now. You gotta keep up, or you get left behind. And I’m tryin’, I really am. But it ain’t easy. This Dion Watkins fella, he’s probably used to all this newfangled stuff. He’s probably got one of them phones and one of them computers. He probably knows all about sharin’ videos and listenin’ to music on them little screens. Good for him, I guess. Me, I’ll just stick to my radio and my porch swing. That’s all I need.
So, that’s all I know about Dion Watkins. Not much, I admit. But I done my best to tell you what I heard. He’s got music, he’s mixed up in some police business, and he’s probably got one of them phones. That’s about it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. Got a hankerin’ for some fried chicken and mashed potatoes. Now, that’s somethin’ I understand.
